This is a pretty solid tripod for what you're paying. It's sturdy but light. I wish the swivel was a little more smooth and that it had more tilt, but again, for the price I can't complain too much. If I need more of an angle I just have to get a little creative with leg length. The removable plate is nice. This is a great tripod for portraits and steady, direct angle video.

This tripod is very light for its size. The construction feels solid and stable. The pistol grip can be a bit cumbersome to work with as it's not always smooth and keeping the camera level can be very difficult with it. The tripod has 3 extensions points: 2 at the legs and one below the pistol grip (center column). This can extend the height to about 5 feet. For light portrait photography in a studio, this tripod is great.

This was a good purchase for me. The tripod is lightweight and easy for me to carry. Fast to set-up. Takes less than one minute to set it up and put the camera on. I purchased a case separately with a shoulder sling that makes the carrying easier. Even though it is lighter than others, the case and sling really help. Weight and efficiency are much better than the tripod I replaced.

I bought this for my wife who is an aspiring photographer and she absolutely loves it. It's very sturdy, even when it's really windy outside. Its ease of setup & use is great as well. To get out, put up, adjust & get it stable takes only a minute or two. The included carry bag makes it easy for her to move it to each shooting location and it's also very easy to get back into the carry bag when she wraps up her shoot.

Not Bad for recording Video

I used this in conjuction with an iographer iPad holder and wide angle lense. Video was stable and easy to locate. the grab grip allowed for fast framing of the video by allowing both side to side and up and down video off of one grip rether than multiple clamps and having to move both planes independently. Could be a bit more stable when extended to the maximum hieght.

Not the most solid built tripod but for your buck it's a winner. I always keep a couple of these around for crunch situations, for mounting cell phone shots or light weight cameras etc.

Very sturdy tripod for photographers. A lot better than those plastic ones that are out there. I ordered Open Box, and the item is in perfect condition! Only the box was ripped!

Just purchased a Canon Vixia HFR 800 Camcorder and needed a tripod to go with it. Liked the tripod's light weight, and the ability to support up to 11 pounds. Also appreciated was the pistol grip ball head with auto locking and the bubble level for easy exact leveling. Got it on sale and using acclumulated points, cost savings were more than 50% off! What's not to love?

Found it on sale and snagged it. I am new to photography so I can't compare this product to others well. Lightweight. Setting the camera into the tripod is easiky snapped in. Releasing it is just as simple. I will look for something with a metal structure where the camera connects in the future if available. The plastic has already developed some play and I don't feel I have roughhoused it at all.

Light weight and tall. Works good for general use. Only wish I have is that it would allow camera to be rotated to take portrait shots and sky shots. The head travel is limited to variations of landscape, there no portraits shots can be made with this tripod. My old tripod allowed this and I mistakenly assumed this would also.
