    Nice Tri-pod, solid purchase

I bought this tripod to replace my existing tripod that I got as part of a Best Buy promotion package with a camcorder. The first tripod is sufficient to hold a camera still, but for fluid movements it failed as it would not move smoothly creating a jerkiness in the footage if you used the tripod to capture movement. This tripod is much smoother, better built, and was not terribly expensive. If you need a quality tripod without having to take out a loan, this is the one.

I looked at a lot of tripods before purchasing this one. It has a lot of features that more expensive ones have and I honestly am not sure what else I could need. It's pretty lightweight, has lots of features (quick release, pistol grip ball head with auto trigger, self leveling feet, ect) but easy to set up and take down. The quality for the price really sold me on this tripod and I have no regrets.

Sunpak - PlatinumPlus Ultra 6000PG 61 Tripod is easy to use when on the move. It is also very light and not cumbersome when moving to multiple locations in a hurry.. I like the leg bars to keep the tripod steady compared to those tripods with no support to keep the legs from spreading out too far. I would buy another one if i needed one. My girlfriend bought one though!

I was looking for a good light weight tripod for my point and shoot camera with a long zoom, as well as my video camera. The Sunpak - PlatinumPlus Ultra 6000PG 61" Tripod wasn't the lightest, but it was light enough. Also, the pistol grip is awesome. I would recomend this to any other hobbist like myself that just want to have fun with their point and shoot camera, with extended zoom.

Very content with this tripod; sturdy and light enough for hiking by with and holds my cameras and iPad with no issues. One minor fault was that it did not come with a hook for the bottom (it is however threaded should you choose to use it with your camera for macro work) to use a weight in winds, but $2.00 at Ace hardware solved the problem. I would absolutely buy another if they were to go back on sale (wink wink).

    Locking Mechanism Issue

I love the ability to make easy angle adjustments with the trigger handle. Height adjustment is good. I have bought several of these over the past few years. They've all had the same two issues. 1) Sometimes the small foot pieces on the bottom of the legs pop off and get lost. 2) The main problem I've had with this model is that the legs somehow get off track and then they won't lock in position, making the tripod unusable. This is the replacement for the one I bought in February 2025. Most have only lasted 5-9 months with occasional use.

I spent a long time looking for a solid starting tripod for my DSLR. I have a Canon EOS Rebel T2i and I like taking it everywhere I go. This Tripod is light weight, easy to set up with a smooth functioning head for panning or tilting. I really like the pistol grip. It saves time when putting it away giving you one less nob to worry about when you are on the go. Although I will say that for the price, I expected some sort of bag but it doesn't come with one.

This a a great Tripod. Being that I am 6’2” and the tripod extends up to 61”in height it is perfect. The tripod is very stable. I use it with my Sony Alpha 6100 Mirrorless Camera. The tripod is also very easy to setup, fairly light to carry when you are out taking photo’s, and the quality is pretty good for a $51.00 tripod.

I'm now a big fan of the pistol grip - I recently shot a music video for some friends and this tripod really made a big difference. It's not super tall, but it did the trick. Well made, sturdy, and the pistol grip doth rule.

This tripod was purchased to replace a Manfrotto trip which had lost two clamps on two different legs. I've always thought of Silk as pretty cheap, but this trip feels much sturdier than the one it's replacing. The trigger release works very well. Note: this tripod is NOT as tall as some; I'm using it to support a Sony DSQ-100, and it's great for that purpose. A small-ish digital camera would also be fine. I don't think I'll put my DSLR on it, however,

This is a very good tripod. Sturdy and well built. It has what is called a "shot gun handle". By depressing the handle you can move and pivot the camera base in any direction and in 360 degrees. It has a bubble level on top to assist in leveling the tripod table. It is also pretty light and overall well constructed. Definitely recommended.

This isn't an industrial strength tripod, but for one of the less expensive, lighter weight types, this one is great. I love the pistol grip feature which makes it very quick and simple to adjust the camera angle up, down, left or right without needing to loosen or tighten anything, and it is very smooth, so you can even adjust it while taking video without causing the camera to jerk around. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good non-commercial tripod for home use or light industrial use.

First time using a tripod with a "grip" lock, and I liked it. Rubber feet are good. Easy to adjust and it was steady.

I purchased one of these tripods to replace and older tripod. I used it with my Samsung Galaxy Camera and it woke great. Purchased another one to use with my GoPro cameras. Mounted one GoPro on top and one on the lower mount. Made my video shooting great. The tripods are light, have bubble levets, so get your camera leveled is easy. Lightweight, but sturdy. Really great tripod at a great price.

Unfortunately the first tripod that I bought had a problem with the head being loose. It was exchanged with no fuss. I found that the tripod was easily adjustable and provided a very stable platform when shooting with my camera. Night shots with exposures up to 30 seconds were no problem. The light weight meant that was easy to carry. The trigger grip made camera adjustment easy.
