Not Meant for a DSLR Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This tripod is probably great for people who just want it for their cell phone, or a light point and shoot camera. However, I bought it to use with my Nikon DSLR 7500 and it does not handle the weight well at all (I'm not using a large lens with it either, just a 17-85mm zoom lens). It feels as though it could tumble over with the wind easily and the winding handle is not sturdy at all. It unwinds rapidly as soon as I take my hand off the handle, no matter what position I put it in. I started using my camera strap to wrap around it, after I got the camera positioned, just to try and prevent it from spinning and unwinding. Would not recommend to anyone who wants to use this with anything heavier than a small point and shoot camera.
