The simplicity of the set up makes it user friendly and the smoothness of the grip system are the great things about this tripod.

Good inexpensive tripod

However, I was not looking to spend a lot of money on one at the time. This tripod serves it's function very well. I've used it to take several nightscape photographs and star trails. The pistol grip is of decent quality and the stabilization is good as well. It does shift and sway wind the wind blows so another anchor is recommended if it's windy.
