Customers are saying

Customers praise the PlatinumPlus Ultra 6000PG 61" Tripod for its sturdiness, light weight, and reasonable price. Users appreciate its grip and compatibility with cameras like the Nikon 7100. Some customers mention the tripod's size when collapsed could be smaller, and a few find it unsuitable for panning with the trigger handle. There were also a few comments on the legs.

I wanted a nice tripod that I didn't have to spend a ton on for my nikon. Here it is. It collapses and has trigger adjustment. I would buy again.

I didn't go into the store looking for a stand but I walked out with one. I bought a canon rebel t5 and wanted some nice accessories to go with it and came across this stand. It's very easy to use for a beginner. I do plan on upgrading for one that has more height for other photo shoots I'd like to do.

Love the tripod but I think the sales personnel at Best Buy are the pits. The last 2 trips into the store and most of my visits to Best Buy, locally and away, if I don't initiate a question, nobody is going to speak to me. Too uppity. That's why I try to shop online. This visit was due to a deadline issue. Thanks

It seems to be made decent. However... If you have a heavier camera or lens this will not do it. The extra extension cannot handle much weight. I put my camera on it and if falls. But perfect for the average to lighter weight cameras.

    Not for video

This is a great tripod but not the one I needed, a fluid head for smooth video. I really haven't found a use for it yet because ball heads cannot be calibrated or fixed to a level. If you loosen the grip you lose the position. I never really found a use for ball heads...

It was a decent stand. Completely closed up it was still over 12" long and took up more space than I wanted. The sales rep recommended this stand and stated it was the best at that piece range, I would agree.

I'm impressed with this camera tripod. It has multiple features and you can by a Cell Phone adapter and use this pod with your cell phone. I guess these days Cell phone cameras are getting better quality for the mainstream user. This tripod will work for Avid Photographers.

This tripod is easy to use and very portable. I use it at my daughter's volleyball games; the 61' height and rather slender build make it easy to setup without interfering with folks view of the action.

This is the only Tripod I will use. Great ability and lightweight. The durability is the only gripe I have. I weir through at least two of these a year. Still have not found a more functional tool for the job so this remains my go-to.

The tripod is very sturdy, but the base that you attach the camera to is pretty unstable. It gets the job done, but it's kind of annoying to have your camera move around when you want to mess with the camera alone and not the entire

This is a really good tripod for the price. It performs great with one exception. It is not for shooting at a high angle. I bought it to mount a 300mm lens and shoot the eclipse. It could not hold it at the angle I needed. Worked fine until I angled it nearly straight up.

This is a good Tripod. I almost lost my camera a couple of times because it's kind of heavy but I'm also thankful that instead of falling over, the camera just turned down as to shoot the floor. If you have a big lens, this is not the tripod for you.

Perfect for the video shoots we do. We use it for our "B" roll camera. Thinking of buying a second one for the "A" shot. Easy to set up and quick to adjust. Great height and no wobble.

I purchased this tri pod for my job. I use it for both photography and video. The trigger handle let's you smoothly move the camera. It allows you to rotate 360 degrees and up and down with ease. I highly recommend this tri pod
