Not good for larger zoom cameras

Build quality seems to be ok for the price but overall the product doesn't meet my needs. I have a Nikon P900 (the super-zoom moonshot camera) and my hope was that the pistol grip on this would allow me to be at high zoom and then lock the camera without having to twist a lever to tighten. The pistol grip does a much better job with this, but unfortunately this tripod has the same problem as just about every other tripod at this price range: the center column shifts no matter how tight everything is or what elevation it is at. What this means for a camera like the Nikon P900 is that, when you are zoomed in on something and your camera is pointed even the slightest bit upward, the camera moves down slightly once you take your hands off the pistol grip/tripod lever. This isn't a problem for your standard zoom lenses, but for the P900 that slight move makes an enormous difference when fully zoomed meaning the object I want to take a picture of can't even be in my viewfinder when I'm setting up the shot if I want it to be in the final picture. TL;DR: Fine for standard photography, bad for high-zoom, terrible for Nikon P900.

Poor Quality Product - Very Disappointed

I purchased this product to support my DSLR camera, because the product specifications stated that the tripod would indeed support the weight of my camera. When I unboxed the item, I immediately noticed how lightweight and rather flimsy the tripod was. I attached my camera (with a small 50mm lens) to the tripod. The tripod was "wobbly" and did not sturdily support my camera. Then, the tripod fell with my camera attached, but fortunately, I caught it just before it hit the ground. I would not recommend this product, unless you need a tripod for a small point & shoot camera, or a phone. Save your money and invest in a better quality product.

This wasn't the most expensive tripod but it said Lifetime Warranty (limited). The handle used to raise the height broke off. Tried to glue it but no luck. Only used in the house at family functions. I now read to return it I must: Should service be required, the product should be carefully packed (in the original packaging if possible ) and sent, prepaid and insured, along with a check or money order for $15.95 (shipping and handling), to the address listed below. A note briefly describing the nature of the defect should also be enclosed to expedite handling. Proof of purchase and payment for shipping and handling LIMITED WARRANTY all right. Too much of a hassle!!!

I purchased this tripod to use with the Canon 70D...and to my surprise it suffered to support the weight of my camera. When I attempted to use the tripod for extended shots or time lapse images/video the camera would simply tilt or fall to the side. Additionally, when I was using the tripod to photograph the night sky I had the camera pointed to the side when suddenly it began to tilt to the side, resulting in the camera tripod falling (thank God I caught it). Overall, I would recommend this tripod to anyone who is using a standard point-and-shoot camera...but not for anyone with an expensive camera or DSLR.

I bought this to potentially replace an older Sunpak and because I was intrigued by the pistol grip. I'm a bit disappointed. The rule on tripods is that if they're light and convenient to carry, they're probably not sturdy enough, and unfortunately, this is very light and not very sturdy. The pistol grip is attached to a ball joint, so it's hard to get and keep the camera level. I certainly won't buy another one of this design.

Is just a very cheap made and basic tripod, even if you are a basic video-grapher or photographer this tripod sucks, I had so much issues with the base that goes to the camera, I end it up losing it and the tripod was useless because it only comes with 1. Save your money and get a different brand with better features.

Most of the settings on this tripod work great. However, it has a ball with no way to secure it once in place. My 35mm with a medium kit lens will not stay in place. For $75 you could find something much better. I will work well with a smaller camera.

Okay, if you only intend on shooting still photography, this will work. However, if you ever need to move or follow an object, this tripod is not for you. The trigger release to pivot the camera is too loose. It really should have better control. Instead, it flops around like a dead fish.

The overall quality is okay. It is reasonably heavy. However, the top is loose and there is no way to tighten it up. I even tried gluing it and that didn't work. Eventually I had to put a piece of cardboard to stop the shaking when I do stop motion animation work. Too bad, the overall quality was good.

This tripod broke after only a few months of gentle use. Don’t waste your money and go for a better one. Only reason it has two stars instead of one is that articulated head mount, it’s very useful.

Crank handle is no good; trigger handle to rotate is good but crank handle to liftt geared center column is hard to work on the fly and loosens often - not for heavy professional use in high speed situations

I'm not so happy with this tripod. The base is stable, however, I've had issues attaching my camera to it and removing it after it's been attached. I would rather have something easier to use and less bulky.

Video picture still comes out shaky. Upon reviewing my videos, I couldn't tell which video was taken using the tripod or my hand. I'm guessing this has to do with the ball head and not the control handle.

I purchased this tripod to use with a GoPro, but the tripos is too thin and flimsy. I can't imagine what it would be like with regular cameras. I had to return it as it wasn't suitable for me.

This tripod is too light weight for an slr like a canon 60D camera plate will not hold it. Top part it all plastic making it lighter nut unreliable. Just not supportive enough for heavier cameras

You get what you pay for. A screw fell out of a leg and had to insert a paper lip to keep it from detaching and lost a rubber piece on one of the legs in a week.

I bought this “top of the line” tripod at the store and wasn’t thrilled with it. I wish Best Buy carried better tripods.

There is a bump on the top of the tripod, which hurts the camera base. In addition to that, the setup takes a lot of time. I would put some more money and something better.
