What can you say? This tripod works as expected. Is it the best tripod out on the market? No, but it doesn't cost an arm and a leg either. For the price this is a great tripod. That being said, when I got mine, the head was loose. It just wasn't screwed down on it's mounting bolt all the way. It has worked fine and stays tight but it just wasn't tight when I took it out of the box. I don't know if this is just a one time thing with mine, or if it is something that needs to be checked on every one. Just something to note.

My wife and I looked at many tripods for our Nikon D7200. We found the PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000 and thought we would give it a shot. It has been great so far and nice and sturdy for our pictures so far. We added a weight at the bottom to keep it from moving in the wind with it all the way extended to 70”. It’s been a great tripod so far for the money. Can’t go wrong buying this tripod.

This is my second tripod by Sunpak. Their tripod's are extremely cheap but their quality isn't too bad. I especially like that this tripod has a plastic handle for carrying it around. So far this is the only tripod I have seen with this feature. I can't believe every tripod doesn't have this. It makes carrying the tripod much more convenient. My only gripe is that the tripod doesn't have a pistol grip. The articulating points are plastic and feel cheap but it seems to do the job.

I have a fairly expensive, heavy dslr camera, so I needed a heavy duty tripod. This one fits the bill. The cheaper tripods were too flimsy. Never had a monopod before, but it's nice that it easily converts to one if I ever need it. I'm not a professional photographer but I do take lots of reference photos for work and need good quality equipment. Got this on sale, so it was a very good buy. On sale, it cost about the same as the lightweight models and I don't have to worry about it breaking with my camera attached.

I am a brand new amatuer photographer with a new DSLR camera. I am no pro at all. This is my first tripod ever. I recently took it to the Grand Canyon and only used it once the whole trip. The tripod is heavy. It does expand with ease and can be used at many different heights. I also like the monopod accessory. The downfall is the mounting bracket. I enjoy the quick attach/detach option with it but the bracket should be more heavy duty. I've only used it a couple times and it seems like the bracket is very loose.

Nice sturdy tripod. Expands to four steps, but I prefer three which seems to make it sturdier. Smooth movements while panning or tilting. Hidden monopod in base, which is nice. Just be careful when twist locking the lengths. I think I kind of broke it at first use. But that's ok I guess, mainly need it for the tripod function.

This seemed like a pretty good tripod at the time of purchase. Good features, etc... However the second time the tripod saw extensive usage, one of the brakes fell out. The brake is the piece inside the leg that allows it to lock into position. Without a brake the leg just slides in and out, rendering the tripod useless for that position/height. I have requested replacement parts from the vendor (Nov 16) and am awaiting their response.

I have only had a chance to use the tripod a couple of times, once with my digital camera, once with a spotting scope I have. In both cases it offered a steady platform that also allowed fairly easy 3-dimensional movement. It is a nice replacement for the one I had before that recently was broken beyond repair.

I did not use the tripod for about a month after buying it. I did however take from the box and checked it over to make sure it was ok. I saw nothing wrong with it so I put it with my photo equipment. When I tried to use it one of the knobs pulled out of the plastic leaving a hole in the plastic. Unfortunately I am unable to return it to Best Buy because I only had 15 days to do so. I am very disapointed after spending almost $80.00 for it.

I was sent to Puerto Rico to video tape a documentary for work. I needed a tripod that would be light and easy to manage but keep a steady shot in the rain forest. Due to the area I was limited equipment and was only allowed I could take a DSLR. I was able to carry it for a long period of time and was able to go from normal tripod to the single in the matter of seconds. I didn't miss a beat and was able to capture steady and clear video.

I purchased the tripod with real estate photos in mind and have not been disappointed. I didn't even think I would use or need the monopod feature but decided that I would buy this model because it had the extra feature. Turns out that I use the monopod more than the tripod. Very versatile and easy to use. I bought the unit and came back when they went on sale the next week. Best Buy credited me the $20 difference, no questions asked. Really appreciated that. I would recommend this unit.

I record my daughter's soccer matches for college recruiting purposes, but the tripod was not very good. As a positive, it is very sturdy, but the swivel is not smooth at all. I missed a ton of plays that my daughter was involved in because the swivel would not move or it locked up. I thought I was purchasing a good product because of the price and the many reviews that I read, but I was highly mistaken.

I hated this tripod, hated it so much I just threw it away and didn't bother with the time consumption of a refund. It is very cheaply made and the top is just plastic. The capacity weight it says it can hold is absolute false. I was very much under the weight capacity and it would not hold my camera upright without torquing the tripod down so tight I could barely get it off. Would not recommend this tripod.

I chose this Tripod after looking at all the different options in-store. I liked that the legs were thick made of durable material and were not flimsy. Especially the extension tabs, meaning I didn't have to worry about one of the legs extending or retracting while I had a device on the mount. I purchased this for a Vision Screener device and the built in level on the tripod mount really made it easy to calibrate our device.

This tripod is great for letting take night shots, it holds my camera still and keeps it steady so I get clear shots. I have a friend who is professional photographer and she bought the same tripod. Her camera and lens is approx. 11 pounds and this tripod had no problems holding her equipment so I knew it would work well with my 3-4 pounds camera and lens. If a professional is using it and suggested it, then I felt pretty good buying it. I'm happy with my purchase.

Still learning about this camera. It is a point and shoot camera with many features of high end DSLR's. I went to the Nikon website to find a 242 page reference manual that explains the cameras full capabilities Needless to say this camera has many possibilities the average point and shoot does not have. Add this to a telephoto range of 2000 mm and the possibilities are going to be endless. Looking forward to our families upcoming trip to California.

I was looking for the tallest tripod that would fit in my travel bag, and this fit the bill. It is sturdy, easy to use and steady. I like that it has a hook on the bottom of the center column that I can attach to my camera bag to further steady it. The "fluid head" isn't so fluid. It's not bad, but if you are looking for a true fluid head, this will disappoint you. Other wise it's a good tripod, especially for the price.

Needed a new tripod for shooting video during volleyball tournaments. This one is more sturdy than ones I have used in the past. I like that I can choose how high or low it goes with the adjustments in the legs but the part I like the best is that if I need it a few inches higher I can adjust the base and I don't need to use a crank. I do wish it came with a case or bag but I used the one from my old tripod and it fit just fine. So far so good.

When I opened the box and removed the tripode a screw fell out. When I figured out the screw for the handle fell out. I screwed it back into place and it scored the telescoping pole as a piece of metal or screw hole burr protruded from inserting and tightening the screw up. Eventually the burr broke away, but the damage was quickly done to the center pole when I adjusted the pole height. Now it shows the damage done on the center pole, not happy with that.

After reading all the reviews I felt like I was making a good purchase, When I bought this tripod it felt very sturdy and reliable, but two weeks after the screw on top snapped off and the clamps on the leg were not able to tighten. Eventually it all fell apart, and I was not able to get my refund or return the item.
