    Tripod and monopod

Once placed in your yard or park and those legs are well placed into the ground this tripod acts like it can stand up to gale force winds. I'm not lying... and the monopod is perfect for self film creations. As I shopped online and local stores I ended up finding this at my local BEST BUY and I couldn't be happier with it!

I like to do a lot of videos, but I needed a new stand for my cameras. I fell in love with his stand. It is not super expensive as other stands are so I was wondering why that was. after using it and carrying it around I fell in love with it. It is super portable and very easy to hold. I actually decided to go buy another one for a friends too.

I had this tripod for 2 months and one of the rivets to the support have popped off. I only used the stand three times. The head mount has also found it's way to fall off as it is not screwed in just glued. Maybe I had a bad stand but after looking at all other options this is made cheaply for the price tag.

I had read good reviews on this tripod and loved the ability to turn it into a mono-pod when needed. I received it as a gift and had it set up with camera and new 18mm-200mm lens for a couple of days. When I went to fold it down and put it away, the handle broke off at the top mount. Now that I'm reading these reviews on this site, I see this is an issue. Good thing I read this before heading back to the store for a return.

Always room for improvement, The only little problem I have experienced is that if I am not careful about clicking the leg clamps shut just right, it appears that it is locked but then still allows it to slide. Other than that, it is light enough to tack onto my camera bag, and tote with me. The telescoping selfy pole, or mono pod, is a handy feature for all those angles that you just can't seem to reach!

I was looking for a a single purchase that would offer dual purpose and this tripod / monopod does exactly what I need. I gave it a 5-star rating because of this...I will state that I am not sure that it is heavy duty enough to withstand a high wind situation but then there are very few out there that can meet this criteria. It is what I needed and offers the flexibility that I wanted.

I bought it because it seemed like a great deal and got decent reviews at BB site. When I opened box, it had 1 quick release mount, not 2 as advertised. The head was stiff in all directions, and pivot joints, all plastic-on-plastic, would not lock even when all knobs were as tight as I could make them. Item returned. Spend a little extra and get better quality. I did.

I HAD THIS ITEM BEFORE BUT IT WAS "BORROWED" THE MANUFACTURER HAS CHANGED THE QUALITY OF THE ITEM. THE CARRY HANDLE USED TO BE OF A HEAVIER MATERIAL AND THE SCREW TO SECURE THE CAMERA WITH THE SLIDE PLATE IS A THIN PIECE OF METAL WHEN IT USED TO HAVE A PIECE OF RUBBER TO MAKE SECURING IT EASIER. OVERALL IT'S A GOOD ITEM TO HAVE ESPECIALLY FOR PARARADES OR ANY LARGE GATHERINGS

I actually returned this product, I believe I just happen to by one that was defective my camera would shake around when mounted on the tripod. Which totally defeats the purpose of using a tripod. I had read the other reviews before I purchased this brand and all reviews were good, being one reason I chose this brand, that's why I'm saying maybe mine was just defective.

The overall structure of the Sunpak - PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000 2-in-1 70" Tripod and Monopod is good enough for a point and shoot camera. I do not recommend this tripod for a DSLR camera. Even when the package advertises that supports up to "X" amount of pounds, the poor construction of the head of the tripod is the absolute downside of the product.

I don't normally write reviews, but this tripod was really awful at what I bought it to do - pan. I'm not sure if mine was just sticky and might have worked itself smooth over time, but when you need something to work well (and pay over 100 bucks for an accessory) you expect it right out of the box. Anyways, I ended up going with a Manfrotto pan head and legs (around 250 together), and I couldn't be more pleased.

Got this mainly for the dual purpose monopod and tripod. I have slight arthritis and could not get the monopod to lock. It’s a twist motion and its really difficult even if I didn’t have arthritis. I’d consider spending a bit more on something more user friendly.

I bought this tripod for cost, availability and functionality. It's not expensive and you can get the job done in many ways. Biggest trouble is that the top mount isn't all that sturdy so you hold the camera and mount to get that great shot. It's like a bushing isn't an exact fit...but a great buy for the price.

I like the height/length that this tripod can get to. It is very stable when at its full extension. The handle and two bubble levels are nice if needed. I do like the ability for it to break down into a monopole/monopod for that type of stability in quick set ups. I also like the quick release from the tripod to hand held mode with the camera. Great design. Great product.

I bought this combo tripod because of the dual tri- and mono-pod capability. It works fine but for the >$50 price tag I was expecting a higher quality product. The leg extension on the mono-pod is difficult to use. The leg extension locks on the tri-pod do not stay locked all the time because some are looser than others. A tightening lock on the swivel fell off.

I bought this tripod to film soccer games. Within two weeks one of the clamps that holds the leg broke. So I took it back and got a second one. I couldn't believe it when the exact same thing happened within two weeks again. I will be returning the second one, and getting a refund and going with a different brand.

Not the best tri pod you can buy. My camera still shakes a lot when hooked up to the tri pod. Wish I would have paid a little extra to buy a more sturdy tri pod but for the average pics it works pretty good. When trying to get really close up pictures I program a timed photo so it doesn't come out blurry. More work to get a clearer picture.

I do a lot of interior photography and video and really enjoy a higher angle when shooting. This tripod allows me to get great shots, and works well when working on stairs and other uneven surfaces so that I can get an even shot. I also like the hanger in the middle that lets you hang something heavy from it to secure the tripod for moving shots.

The tripod has lots of features that I was looking for. But the first time I used it one of the leg locks came loose and had to be put back on. It seemed ok until the next time I used when the lock came off again and the inside part came out. Then one of the knobs came off and could not be put back on. Quality seems to be an issue with this item.

I spent the better part of 30-40 minutes talking with the sales specialist in the camera dept going over the tripods. The representative kept telling me this would be the best for the dollar. Wellllll, somewhat disappointed with the camera fitting clamp and the tripod is not stable. will probably take back and exchange for another.
