I did not like the way the head moved and I found it difficult to level.

Tripod head never stays level, monopod tube was cross threaded from the factory and Sunpak does not respond to customer service emails. Spend the extra $ on something better that isn't made by sunpak.

Not for a heavy camera. I bought this tripod to use it with my Canon Vixia G40 and the head was not strong enough to hold it.

I used it to video tape an event And found that the head was hard to move and wobbled, even after making the adjustments. I should have spent the extra money for the ball head

Tripod seems to work ok so far, but with the camera attached to the head, it is difficult for me to see the bubble level. My video camera is very light and this tripod is also very light so stability could be a factor under certain conditions.

The tripod is easy to carry and quick to set-up.

The tripod is easy to carry and quick to set-up. It is very sturdy however the movement of the heads is not as smooth as it could be . there are times when I'm videoing and have had to Move the entire tripod to get the shot and angle I wanted. Even with the stiff movement I find the tripod to be a great asset as a photographer and videographer.

Pros: Great height: Tripod 70" height and is sturdy Supports my Canon 70D/ 55-250mm lens without slippage. Panning is nice and smooth, but this is not a fluid head Cons: Monopod: flimsy; 1/4 or 1/2 turn twist-locks were implemented. Not sturdy if fully extended to 67". The last section is flimsy

None of the tripods I found at your store were what I was looking for. Flimsy and unsteady. The boast of "smooth pans" is completely off the mark. Trying to lock the head in a certain position was hit and miss. I doubt that I will use it again.

The tripod I bought was broken when I took it out of the box. The first time I set it up, the head was wiggly so it was hard to keep the camera steady. If you turned the tripod head 360 degrees a few times it got tighter. It is not a smooth action tripod. The handle was cracked and broke the 2nd time I used it.

I really bought this to use with an outdoor micro projector and, occasionally, with my DSLR. I found the head too flimsy to hold the projector steady. So, I removed it and screwed the projector directly onto the center pole. That worked great. It does mean I have to adjust the tilt and angle of the image by manipulating the legs, but once it's set, it's solid. Other than that, it folds up very small and weighs little. Haven't tried the monopod yet.

I bought this knowing it wasn't the cheapest around, but also not a pricey model. I know I would use it lightly and thought it would be ok. After a few short months of very minimal use, the handle stripped out to where it would no longer tighten and support the camera. I shoot a Canon 7D with a 17-55mm lens attached most days. The head is cheap plastic and the level was broken when I opened it. I taped it back in the head. This was a great tripod and easy to use the couple times I got to use it. But overall it was a massive fail and I would recommend you spend your money on a better tripod that may cost a bit more. This is junk.

I'd have loved if this tripod to truly be an all in one and could stand a little more ruggedness and reliability, but it doesn't. :/ This is my 3rd time buy this Sunpak Ultra 7000 TM since 2015, because of the good pricing and two in one mono-pod feature. Unfortunately, the tripod head is still pretty weak today in 2018. The head wobbles a lot, makes squeaky sounds when panning, making your shots unstable and gagged. The grip and outer look is stylish and presentable which is why I hoped it would have improve to last longer for the short time I'd would use it, but it didn't even last after it's 1st use! Last night after filming and I was carrying my Canon 5D mark 3 and my Sunpak tripod out, when it suddenly detached by it self. The legs with head came off because of the walking. I was lucky it didn't happened while filming. Phew! Maybe it doesn't support my camera (even though it says it can support DSLR) but just the unstableness doesn't convince me it's reliability. So I'd now just invest in a different tripod that's durable and won't give me a hard time during video or photos.

Being tall (6'2"), I like that it can get the camera all the way up to eye level with me. It's very solid at full extension and easy to use. The built in carry handle in the center post is nice, and so is the removable center section that becomes a monopod. My only concerns are that a couple of the leg locks tend to be finicky and not want to lock all the way on the first try (or 2 or 3). But once you get them locked in, they stay. If they don't, you know it because the lever almost immediately pops open. My other concern (not as big a concern) is that when you lock the head swivel with the screw lock, if you turn the head counter clockwise with the hand-held rod (don't know what it's called), it's easy to start unscrewing the head from the center post. And it's very difficult to really tighten down the head to the center post without tools. but be careful not to break the plastic. It's debatable whether I would recommend it. There may be other tripods just as good or better for the same money

Ordered on line during a one day sale. The tripod arrived a week later and broken. The cheap pastic ball was cracked and in two pieces. Based upon the condition of the box, I think I got someone else's return. Returned it in person which was easy but a 30 minute drive. The clerk asked if I wanted a replacement and I declined based on the cheapness of the plastic. I think it would eventually break. Other reviewers had the same problem. Wish I had used the one day savings on a different brand. so much for quick delivery and quality control

What can you say? This tripod works as expected. Is it the best tripod out on the market? No, but it doesn't cost an arm and a leg either. For the price this is a great tripod. That being said, when I got mine, the head was loose. It just wasn't screwed down on it's mounting bolt all the way. It has worked fine and stays tight but it just wasn't tight when I took it out of the box. I don't know if this is just a one time thing with mine, or if it's something that needs to be checked on every one. Just something to note.

You might have alreay guessed, I didn't like this one. First, it is not 70 inch. A Sales person measured it in Maplewood Best Buy to confirm it. And it is 65 inch. I used this piece to take pictures of Aurora borealis. And it cannot stand still with a heavy lens onit. And the ball head comes off, when ever I tried to take a panning shot of the landscape for panoramas. It is true that it can take weight. But, the head droops towads the heavy side, and the lens goes down over a period of time. I used a 100-400mm Lens which is 3lb in weight to test that fact. I tried a time lapse shot for 5 seconds using a toy on a shelf as subject. Nope. That lens looked down in shame. Final word, I didn't like it. I had a SunPak 6000 tripod, that thing is way better than this one.
