Customers are saying

Customers commend the PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000 2-in-1 70" Tripod and Monopod for its sturdiness, lightweight design, and reasonable price. Many users also appreciate the convenience of the included monopod. I have a tri-pod for my camera but this takes it a step further with the mono-pod also incorporated into the device. Will definitely get my money's worth from this item. Also got a good deal as it was on sale. Thanks Best Buy

This tripod and monopod are great for the price. The tripod is holding up quite well. I've had it for about a month.

i wanted a stand that didn't break the bank and something that would last. this stand seems very well built and should last for quite a while. it is also versatile meaning you have the tripod and mono pod feature, and quick to switch between them.

We recently purchased a Sunpak-PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000 Tripod as a gift to our grandson. He is a 11 year old train enthusiast. This tripod is stout (not a toy) and he was able to set it up easily. The legs adjust for stability in any terrain. It held his phone for filming trains, and we also bought an adapter to hold his tablet and our GoPro camera. We look to have many years of enjoyment using this instrument.

Adequate for light weight or short term use. But too many plastic bits failed too fast for the price point.

I haven't had any issues with the tripod not being sturdy enough or breaking. I have actually found quite the opposite to be true. I love the quick release plate that allows me to mount and dismount my camera very quickly. The only thing I don't really care for all that much is the level placement. No matter how I screw my camera on, the level ends up under the camera where I can't really see it. This could (somehow) be something I'm doing wrong, but a feature I was excited about now seems pretty pointless. Still, though, it does what I want in the long run: keep the camera steady for long exposures, etc.

I bought this tripod to use with my new Nikon DSLR camera. The first one I purchased had a faulty lever which did not allow one of the legs to lock into place. While the return was easy, standing in line at the Geek Squad/Customer Service area for 15+ minutes was a bit much. FINALLY, one of the Geek Squad members asked ONE of the TWO IDLE employees at the online order desk if one of them could help me. (I had approached them first and was told they DID NOT do returns. GO FIGURE) I brought my new tripod home and decided to use it on one of the observation decks in the Mt. Washington area of Pittsburgh. It was somewhat windy, but I didn't know how windy until I downloaded the photos onto my computer. EVERY ONE of them was blurry. While the tripod appears to work properly, I KNOW windy conditions need to be avoided.

Good tripod for holding a DSLR camera for filming my daughter's youtube videos of her drawing and painting. It is pretty adjustable for different viewing angles. More solid than the previous tripod she had.

It works to a point, but: 1. The head isn't stable enough for the shots I tried to get last night aimed up to the sky. If it's level, it's fine, but change the angle and it's all over the place and you have to put in so much extra work to try to stabilize with both hands. On the bright side, I learned how to make light streaks. 2. The part to screw into the bottom of the camera or lens is so difficult to fasten and take off. Going to return and hopefully can get something better.

The stand is very sturdy, and I’m very comfortable placing my more expensive cameras on it. Much better than previous stands I’ve purchased I expect this one might be around for a while.

The tripod is durable and holds up well in windy areas. The height is good and the handle is easy to use. The swivel top tends to loosen if the camera is rotated too far to the right which creates a wobbly top if you don't notice.

Definitely a step up from the $20 tripod I bought previously...only complaint I have is you have to buy your own carry case for it which I did...but heavier..more stable...altogether much better!

This Tripod holds pretty much good amount of weight. I have got Nikon D780 with Tamron 70-200mm lens, this holds pretty good. But the issue is with the fitting screws, I had to replace the Tripod within 25 days of not much usage. Screw that is used for removing the MonoPod wasn’t working properly. It was not tightening up because of which camera was not sitting idle at one position, it was moving because of this Screw.
