This is my first purchase of this brand of tripod. There were no other choices in the store that were heavy enough for what I wanted. By heavy I mean to be strong and sturdy in wind regardless of how light the camera is. It functions as it is supposed to and works great so far.

I have used professional grade tripods before and this one does the work they do for hundreds of dollars less. I purchased three for my small film company and the crew loves them. Couldn't believe it when we were editing the video on a recent high school video shoot, flawless.

The Sunpak Platinum Plus Tripod and Monopod is definitely worth the price - it works with the 360 go pro as well as the bigger cameras - it's sturdy and has held up well for all of our photography needs.

"Sunpak PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000 Review: A Wobbly,

Avoid This Tripod – Flimsy, Unreliable, and Not Worth It I had high hopes for the Sunpak PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000, but after using it, I can confidently say it’s a complete waste of money. Here’s why: Build Quality – Feels Like a Toy Despite being marketed as a “heavy-duty” tripod, this thing is flimsy and cheaply made. The aluminum feels paper-thin, and the plastic components are brittle. The legs wobble even when fully extended, making stability a joke. If you’re using anything heavier than a smartphone, prepare for a disaster. Terrible Stability – Shaky and Unreliable The entire point of a tripod is stability, but this one fails miserably. Even indoors, on a flat surface, it has a tendency to wobble. Outdoors? Forget it. A slight breeze is enough to send your camera toppling over. The rubber feet are useless on smooth surfaces, and the leg locks feel like they could break at any moment. Horrible Pan & Tilt – Jittery and Sticky The pan and tilt head is the worst part. Instead of a smooth motion, it sticks and jumps, making any kind of video work impossible. Trying to get a precise adjustment? Good luck—the head doesn’t lock in properly, and even a slight touch throws off your framing. Monopod? More Like a Wobbly Stick The “2-in-1” feature is a gimmick. The monopod is just as unstable as the tripod. It doesn’t feel solid, and the twist locks barely hold. If you’re relying on it for support, be prepared for disappointment. Final Verdict – Save Your Money This tripod is cheap for a reason—it’s absolute garbage. If you’re looking for something reliable, look elsewhere. Spend a little more and get a brand that actually knows what they’re doing, like Manfrotto or Benro. Avoid this Sunpak disaster at all costs. ⭐ 1/5 – Only because zero stars isn’t an option.

I bought a tripod adaptor for my phone and needed a lightweight tripod for taking panorama pictures. I wouldn't use this tripod for anything heavy, but for a phone or a lightweight digital camera it is a cost effective solution.

I bought a camera package that came with a tripod. It was flimsy and couldn't hold the weight of the camera and flash, too. the Sunpak - PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000 2-in-1 70 Tripod and Monopod - Silver is perfect for me ... solid and easy to use. Love the built in carry handle as well.

I wanted a tripod that was lightweight enough so I could take it anywhere without adding too much weight to my already heavy backpack! I love the level so I can ensure my camera is level. I use it on the beach all the time to get long exposure sunset photos. Works great!

Although stated to be able to take larger cameras, my main NIkon DSLR seems to be too big for this tripod. I get quite a bit of drift and have a hard time locking in a good position. I have a larger more sturdy tri-pod I use for everyday shoots and have relegated this to a backup.
