Customers frequently mention the sturdiness, lightweight design, and reasonable price of the PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000 tripod and monopod as significant advantages. The included monopod is also a popular feature. However, some users have noted that the panning mechanism could be smoother and that the construction feels somewhat less robust than expected. A few customers also found the tripod's size to be a drawback for portability.

I have filmed live-action cultural dancing for over past 10 years with over 3,000 edited & uploaded HD videos on social media.
Filming indoor & outdoor, in wind, on natural grass, on dirt or sand, etc, this tripod is very versitile, offers a steady filming platform, with awesome steady panning. Not too heavy to carry all-day, or night. Quick & easy set-up, or transition to a different scene. And, very sturdy over the years.

I thought I would try this tripod out being the price was very competitive. This tripod sets up easy, is very sturdy, and the mono pod built in removes fast and easy. Has a great hook in the middle for equipment bag. very happy with this product.

This thing is sturdy and light. I needed a tripod that could extend 60" without breaking the bank and this one was it. Excellent tripod for the price.

This trifold is so easy to use and it holds my large binoculars in place extremely well. I had no problems setting it up, or collapsing it down. Its lightweight and easy to carry and its fully adjustable and stable on uneven terrain. Its compact enough to store in a closet when not in use and travels well in any size vehicle. Im very impressed with this product.

The Sunpak tripod I purchased is very handy! it has a mid level stabilizer, two levels, a handle to carry ,4 stage leg system and it is very light weight. This will work for light travel photography. Overall an excellent buy for the money!

Still to new to give full review .Lot of plastic but has stood up so far. Many nice features for good price. Monopod was why I bought this, good and stable at full height. I use it weekly for volleyball tournaments. It's sturdy and good features for price.

Pretty stiff, well balanced tripod. I mount a Nikon D7000 with a 300mm lens which is pretty heavy (about 10 pounds) and it handles it very well. Love the monopod although its not for heavy cameras and lenses. Would definitely recommend.

I was surprised on the price. I purchased it for my wife thinking it was going to be 110$. But at the checkout there was a deal for almost 70$. Once you open the box and get your hand on it you will know the quality.

I tired using this product when my previous tripod broke. Amazingly this is a much better option. The previous tripod was in the 25-50$ range I believe and after a couple months or serious work the legs broke. This one is very sturdy and built to last. I mean this thing is solid and yet still easy to transport with the built in handle. I haven't used the mono pod feature yet. It having that option wiiit having to buy a separate item is awesome. I'm glad I bought this product

All the fittings are cheap plastic and it feels flimsy. It is definitely not for the pro, e.g. working wedding photographer. Having said that, I bought this one because I needed to replace another Sunpak tripod. That one also felt cheap, but it did what I needed for over 20 years, so I can't really complain.
This is a pretty good price for a tripod that will go 70". And it folds down to a short length and is not very heavy.

Good Quality, I had this tripod for a year now and it's pretty good to set it up at events. It's very sturdy but I wouldn't use it if you are into wildlife photography as the tripod was not made for quick movements. Overall though I would say that it's a good stationary tripod.

**5-Star Review of Sunpak - PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000 2-in-1 70" Tripod and Monopod - Silver**
I recently purchased the Sunpak PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000 2-in-1 Tripod and Monopod, and it has quickly become an essential part of my photography gear! This versatile product delivers both quality and functionality, making it a fantastic investment for anyone serious about capturing stunning images.
The build quality is impressive; it feels sturdy and durable, yet it remains lightweight enough to carry around easily. I love the 70" height—it's perfect for shooting in a variety of settings, whether I’m at a scenic overlook or capturing events. The adjustable legs provide excellent stability, even on uneven terrain, which gives me confidence when setting up my shots.
Converting from a tripod to a monopod is seamless and quick, which is a game-changer for those moments when I need to be more mobile. The monopod is surprisingly sturdy as well, providing great support for my camera during long shoots.
The sleek silver design is also a nice touch, giving it a professional look that complements my gear. Overall, the Sunpak PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000 has exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to both amateur and professional photographers alike. This tripod and monopod combo is a must-have for anyone looking to enhance their photography experience!

I have a fairly expensive, heavy dslr camera, so I needed a heavy duty tripod. This one fits the bill. The cheaper tripods were too flimsy. Never had a monopod before, but it's nice that it easily converts to one if I ever need it. I'm not a professional photographer but I do take lots of reference photos for work and need good quality equipment. Got this on sale, so it was a very good buy. On sale, it cost about the same as the lightweight models and I don't have to worry about it breaking with my camera attached.

Happy with this tripod. It is a little rigid to pull out some times, however stability hasn't been a problem. Panning was not so easy to control for videos. If you are looking for a decent and budget tripod, this is it !

I like this tripod, it is very sturdy and can deal with heavier items unlike cheaper models. For fun I put my entire 3.6 pound laptop on it (folded to tablet mode) with a universal mount and it held it securely and I did not fear for the safety of my expensive computer.

This is a good basic tripod. The option of using the center post as a monopod is nice.
The head doesn’t pan all that smoothly, so it’s not great for those kind Pb video shots.
I’ve used it mostly to hold a video camera focused on the goalie at soccer games, and it works well-stable with no shake. It’s light weight and feels a little flimsy, but has proven to be durable through several seasons.
