Customers frequently mention the sturdiness, lightweight design, and reasonable price of the PlatinumPlus Ultra 7000 tripod and monopod as significant advantages. The included monopod is also a popular feature. However, some users have noted that the panning mechanism could be smoother and that the construction feels somewhat less robust than expected. A few customers also found the tripod's size to be a drawback for portability.

Great price and quality. Highly recommend! Set up in my house to bird watch the backyard. Holds my Nikon camera with long lens with no problem whatsoever. Easily move to focus in on different birds.

It’s an okay system when using the tripod, but the monopod is subpar at best. My first use of the monopod, the foot cushion came off as it was just secured with glue. The sections have no durability the very last section closest to the ground could not be fully extended without it wobbling under my camera which is only 4 pounds. Now the tripod stood tall but with my street photography wasn’t really adequate for what I needed. Gave to my son who is a junior photographer as his first tripod so it still got out to good use but knowing what I know I wouldn’t purchase again I’d save up and get a better quality one.

Sturdy tripod, good value for the money. Monopod option is great when I don't need or want the weight and complexity of the tripod.

Really good design for the most part. Out of my own ignorance I screwed up the plastic post for setting camera in place. It should have been more obvious to me but I thik the design could have been more robust. Stout otherwise, easy to carry. Have not used as monopod yet

Overall I am still pleased. The original unit broke at pivot points for one leg and brace. The manufacturer replaced hassle free with a newer version that is noticeably more robust.
That said, the weak link is still the leg hinges being plastic. I would call it professional grade. For the money, I cannot complain. I’m sure there are heavier duty options, but the size and cost meets my needs.

Bought this a month ago. Initially I thought I should go for the one's where you can fold the legs in. I found this to be more convinient to open and close. It's not heavy at all. Also used it in high winds 35 mph and it was stable and did to move at all. Very happy with this tripod.

Picked this up to use on my Sony a7ii. The quality of the tripod is great, only issue is the head is a little loose and sometimes doesn’t stay completely stable and wobbles slightly. Not really a huge issue unless you’re doing a long exposure shot where stability is crucial. Planning for video is moderate, not as great as I would’ve hoped. Overall wish I had spent a little more on a better model

This tri-pod is great because the poles are much thicker and they are padded which gives the camera more stability. I use it for a canon 70d dslr which is a heavier camera. Its worth the money! Also great for quick and easy use for taking the camera on and off of the trip pod. Highly recommend !

My wife wanted a taller tripod than our older one and one that was better suited to a DSLR camera. I wanted to be able to video our son's school activities with smaller cameras while taking action photos with the removable monopod post. So we both got what we needed.

I was looking for the tallest tripod that would fit in my travel bag, and this fit the bill. It is sturdy, easy to use and steady. I like that it has a hook on the bottom of the center column that I can attach to my camera bag to further steady it. The "fluid head" isn't so fluid. It's not bad, but if you are looking for a true fluid head, this will disappoint you. Other wise it's a good tripod, especially for the price.

I have been impressed with this tripod. It is very sturdy and the monopod is cleverly hidden inside. The monopod has a bonus feature of being able to mount the adjustable platform with handle. The monopod takes some getting used to when trying to lock it in place by twisting the pole.
