This has an authentic feeling of real space travel and the astronauts decisions are heroic and based on logic. It's refreshing to see some science in science fiction. Yes the third act deviates from the great astrophysics and science but this is an intriguing film. The mission it posits is one that could be a far future reality, adding to the realism. There is tension throughout the film. it is a known fact that our sun will burn out at some point. It is more likely that we will face an extinction event long before that however. Recommended.

Although the story is a bit far fetched (saving Earth from destruction while battling an unexpected bad guy), the acting & sets were first rate. As Sci-Fi stories go, I'd give this one a solid B+. However, the reason to watch this movie was for the absolutely stunning video quality of this Blu Ray movie, especially if you have a display that's capable of accurately portraying both deep blacks and the blazing intensity of the Sun.

Danny Boyle has always been able to direct and do what he wants, with quality screenwriting and directing. I love his vision for Sunshine and what life is like out of space. Some of his graphics and screenwriting in this film, and most of his films, blow other ones right out of the water. An underrated film with an all star cast, A+ for me!

GREATEST SCI-FI MOVIE OF ALL TIME. WAS MADE IN EUROPE AND NOT WELL ADVERTISED OVER HERE, SO IT HAS BECOME THE MOST UNDER-RATED MOVIE OF ALL TIME. BUT TAKE MY WORD...IT IS WORTH YOUR TIME AND EFFORT TO WATCH. SPECTACULAR SCENES AND SOUND TRACK.

This is an excellent sci fi movie! Definitely check it out if you have the chance, super underrated and not very well known. I found it in the $5.99 bin and knew I had to buy it, a real bargain!

Reason I got this movie is because of its cast! Awesome all around. The story is simple, the sun is dying and they send a crew into space to ignite it, kinda reminded me of Armageddon but it’s not that great. Check it out!

Great under the radar sci-fi movie with a strong casting. They were younger and not well known when this was made but this movie is easily a favorite for me. "That's just like, my opinion, man." - The Dude

If your a SciFi fan like I am this is a must to have in your collection and to pass on to other Scifi fans in the family, a great story and fun to watch...

This movie was out early in the HD generation and was great for highlighting why someone would want to upgrade to Blu ray, but is also great science fiction and holds up still.

This was a great sci-fi that I never saw at a theater but I took a chance and purchased it and loved it. Highly recommended for any science-fiction fan

I missed this movie when it was released in the theater. Great premise and a great cast. What can humans do when the sun is going out? Highly recommended!

Excellent film--wish I had seen it when it came out. This is not your run-of-the-mill Sci-Fi flick---it's a thinking person's film.

Was not aware this movie existed but got it for like $5 and thought the story was interesting. Great movie! Worth a watch : )

Overall this was a good movie. The end kinda lost the consistency of the film and went in a strange direction I feel like.

I loved it so much I bought it. I heard it was really good and it did not let down.

The movie started right from the beginning getting and then keeping my interest until the end. Good plot twists.

I love scifi movies and this was one that I wanted to add to my collection. The story is great and the sound is awesome.
