The game is good, the graphics are nice. But it lacks something, it feels like playing an old game , but with sort of better graphics and bosses. Multiplayer is fun. Game is good for 25 bucks.

A reinvision of a classic that looks well graphics wise. The online play is pretty good and only get laggy if a connected user is experiencing issues on their end. Story mode is nice and has some good comical moments. The difficulty in classic mode versus CPU is a little erratic and sometimes is easy and other times rediculously hard. Overall a good game if you want to challenge other friends and family.

The game is fun and can be played with friends. But it's a classic so can't go wrong.

very fun game to play. i had bought this for my husband as a gift since there was a deal on it. it ended up being a game he wanted anyway! him and i are really enjoying playing this game together. the graphics are nice and its a great family time!

used to play the 2D version on my pc back in early 2000s. was happy this came out to modern day platform. loving the play and i lol a lot when blowing myself up over simple mistake. def worth ur money for this amazing classic game.

It's difficult to recommend this game at it's $49.99 MSRP. I bought it at a discount using a promotional giftcard, but can't help but feel it's still a little high. This game looks and feels like the classic Bomberman of Hudson Soft in the past, complete with a 50 level story mode and a multitude of settings. But compared with the other launch games it still feels lacking in content. Zelda offers a lot more for $10, while FAST RMX and Snipperclips should be on consideration for all Switch owners at $20 each. Personally I don't see the extra value of this game at $30 more than FAST RMX or Snipperclips and feel that it should have been priced at $20-$30. As far as the game itself, it's great and worth picking up especially if you are are a Bomberman fan, but I would still recommend to wait for a sale or price drop. My four star rating is because of the price, had it been $20-$30 it would have been five star. And again I recommend this game, just not at it's release MSRP price.

It’s a throw back to the old version with upgraded graphics. Still a lot of fun to play

At release, this game was lacking in both content and performance. However, with recent updates and patches to the game, the game now runs at a fairly steady 60fps allowing for smoother and faster gameplay. Content updates have added more to the game and the developers are seemingly making this game worth it to own as time goes on. Recommended, but wait for sales.

another entry into the bomberman series. nice to have portable version.

Super Bomberman R does very little with classic Bomberman multiplayer beside revive it and make it prettier. It uses the same skills, the same power ups, and the same styles of maps as it's predecessors, though the most recent one seems like a distant memory. If you, however like me, still crave that classic Bomberman multiplayer and have friends to play with that feel the same way, this modern incarnation is a no-brainer. Not much has changed beyond the graphics, but that also means that it's the same frenetic fun we haven't seen in far too long. It's a good showcase for the Switch's ability to play local multiplayer on the go, and online play means you're never without opponents. There's also a decently fun single player campaign attached, but it's a tough sell unless you're determined and able to get some multiplayer action going.

When this game is at 40 dollars or less it's a great deal. It's not an all-time classic Bomberman game but it's good fun with others to play with, even online. The game still received content updates and I think now it's worth the price of admission versus when it first launched. If you need a party game or enjoy Bomberman, now is the time to get it.

This is Bomberman. We've all played it before. Not a whole lot has changed. There is a story mode, funky map options for multiplayer, Xbox 360ish graphics, and online play. This game is fun online with friends and is one of the few multiplayer online games on the Switch. It's fun offline too if you have a couple of Switches and a few Joycons you can play 8 players. The online has lots of lag and the controls are off by a second, makes gameplay weird. Worth buying until Mario Kart 8 comes out.

Some of the simplest games create the most hair pulling adventures, and Bomberman is one of them. This is the same Bomberman you're used to, in terms of gameplay, but it has some unique qualities that make it worth a purchase. I love the story mode's boss battles. It adds a little bit of a finality after going thru stage after stage. I like how easily you can go from one player to playing with friends and family whether at home or on the go. I like complexity of some of the levels they created. Also graphically it looks good. This isn't going to be a system seller, but it definitely makes for an easy to play party game that will hopefully get some people together for fun and good laughs. It's a change of pace from the other launch titles.

It's a classic Bomberman experience, it's fun but in short bursts. The story is laughable but it was expected. The online is barely functional (constant disconnects) but it could just be because of the Switch hardware. Still very fun in local multiplayer.

This game is super fun and so easy to get into that most people will be able to play. The best thing about it is that you can play up to 8 players on a single Switch!

Do you own a Nintendo Switch and enjoy Bomberman? Buy the game. It's more of what you like, has hectic multiplayer, and can be taken on-the-go. If you've never played Bomberman, wait for this to go on sale and give it a shot. Hate Bomberman? Stay away from this one — there's nothing different enough to change your mind.
