I bought this game for my 8yr old son and I to play on the Switch launch day. Overall he really likes the game. He has never played a Bomberman game before and took to it right away. Despite it being a simple game it never gets old. My only complaint would be that I have not found a way to change difficulty levels for battle mode. The computer is just a little too good or I am just that bad. Other than that it is a great game to play with friends or even solo for hours at a time.

I played this game back when i was younger on my friends Nintendo. But now that i got my own and i had recently found this game i knew i had to get it. It brought back so many memories.

I got this at a discount, with a a couple coupons, so a paid a fair price for what is has to offer, which is lacking for regular price. Otherwise it is a lot of fun, especially for multiplayer.

The gameplay is classic bomberman. The only downside is I wish I could adjust the camera to have a better idea of where I am placing the bombs at. Otherwise, it is what I grew up on and love.

This game is exactly what you might expect from Bomberman, and if you’re just looking for some simple rounds now and again then it’s perfect. The issue is the lack of options in comparison to other games. Bomberman Live on the 360, for instance, has multiple game play options, item toggle, and more. R only has the basic Bomberman gameplay with other options like Capture the Flag or Zombie, and has no way to toggle which items appear. If you NEED to bomb some mans and only have a Switch then go for it; otherwise, look into other options.

This game is the basic Bomberman classic. The single player is what it is. Similar to many other simple bomberman titles, it's either kill all enemies, destroy blocks, find hidden switches, etc. The multiplayer is the fun part. Local more so than online. It can be difficult at times to find games. I'd recommend this for the multiplayer. If you can get It under $30, I would.

If you have enjoyed previous bomberman games, then you’ll love this one. Got it on the Black Friday sale! Probably not enough content to pay full price, but well worth it on sale.

My little sisters love playing this game. It’s a dying breed to have local multiplayer games and this is one of the greats!

I suck at this game, I have no feel for understanding how the bombs are going to move or explode. You need that understanding of the timing to be good... With that said, I have a blast (punintended) playing multiplayer anyway. The single player is a bit wanting, and I think cheap in its difficulty, but still a fun distraction. Overall, if you can get this on sale, I'd say it's a buy. At the full price it's a bit ridiculous though.

Game started out fair to good, now all the the free updates, this game is a blast! Single player, Multiplayer, all the classic Bomber Man action is here, highly recommended!

Has single player, a 2 person offline co-op. and up to 8 players online battle royal. The only issues I would state with this game is that the graphics look a little flat and the story mode isn't as charming as past games in the series. The online mode sometimes has input lag making it hard to control your character but a patch is being worked on to fix this as I write this review. All in all, still a fun multiplayer experience

Most of my time in the series has been with the Super Bomberman titles on SNES and a little bit on Saturn. I have to say that this does a good job of going back to that style of gameplay, while introducing some new, fun elements. (Battle mode with more than one player allows the defeated players to go outside and bomb in for a chance to swap out) Online has lagged once or twice, but for the most part, it's pretty solid.

What was once one of the worst games on Switch has been updated significantly, and I can now confidently recommend this. Nice content, good performance, fun gameplay.

This is a pretty fun game and lots of fun with friends. However, at this price, it's not worth it. This should have been $20, at most. There isn't really a lot of content to justify a $50 price tag. If I were you, I would wait till it gets cheaper. If you own a switch, you should play this game. However, just wait till it gets cheaper.

If you know Bomberman, you already know what to expect from this new version of the classic couch multiplayer game. That isn't a bad thing if you enjoy Bomberman.

this game takes some getting used too but once you get the hang of it its great. its like a tetris bomb game if you liked tetris im sure you will like this game.

The game is a blast (no pun intended), but outside of multiplayer, this game's controls are clunky and hit detection is inconsistent. Fun game overall though.

Not only can you go back to bombing, you can bring it with you EVERYWHERE! Even multiplayer off the joycons. Angles arent always great but game holds value

Super Bomberman R is a really solid return to the franchise. It has a lot of content including a story mode, challenges, and online play. The one gripe I have about this product is the online play is P2P (Player to Player) meaning if someone is playing with a poor internet connection you'll be affected by it (as opposed to the game running off of a separate server). Otherwise the game is great.

Though the price was kinda questionable at first, the game has gotten enough free updates (that continue to roll out) from Konami that it's definitely worth a look into as the price settles down if you are a fan of Bomberman games! Have had a ton of fun with fam and friends. A small thing that initially held stuff back was the limited way to get spending cash for new arenas, etc.
