I'm not much of a builder. The real fun for me is playing the levels that people make. I'm still amazed at the ideas that people are able to pull off.

Not only are there new levels to play but you can use your creativity and make your own. Hours of fun!! This game never gets old!!

This game is amazing for the Nintendo Switch, you can create your maps or worlds, it has 5 different types of creations, going from Mario 1 also Mario 3 from old Nintendo, Super Mario World from the Super Nintendo, New Super Mario Bros. from Wii and Wii U, and Super Mario 3D World from Wii U, it includes a story mode showing you 100 levels to get ideas from, but you can create almost anything is this game, from speed run courses, automatic courses, music courses, and also multiplayer courses to play either up to 4 people local or online.

I’ve always liked the MARIO games growing up as a kid, but they were always so repetitive or way to hard for the average player. I LOVE this version! It has easier levels, harder levels and some in between. You can easily build your own course and share it with other MARIO gamers, and you can always play offline which is nice for traveling in the car. If you’ve ever kind of liked MARIO, don’t hesitate to buy this because you will love it! (Disclaimer.....I bought this for my kid but I’ve been hiding the switch so I can play it too!

Having a Mario Maker game on switch means you can play and design the Mario levels of your dreams on the go! Mario Maker 2 improves on the Wii U game by adding new elements, enemies and game styles like Mario 3D World. The switch even includes multiplayer modes for creating levels and playing them. Mario Maker 2 can be played with the single player campaign mode and the online multiplayer mode. As always you have access to all the levels submitted by yourself or the community to play endless and inventive Mario levels.

Super Mario Maker is a lot of fun! It has single player with so many levels online and has a great story mode! Definitely Recommend!

This is a great game. It has both a single player mode, and an online multiplayer mode. Making your own levels is fun. Some people do crazy things with their levels that you never would have imagined possible. IMO this is the definitive 2D Mario experience. If you liked New Super Mario Bros, then pick this one up right away. P.S. The game comes with a year of Nintendo Online for $10 extra. Buy this game, then buy Animal Crossing in March and you'll have plenty of games to use the online with.

Our family had the first Mario Maker and all of us but one lost interest in the game. As one player has its limitations. This version is much better and the added story mode to sharpen your building skills is good for newcomers. Rated this a 4 star because it’s lacking “World Builder” all standard Mario games have “worlds” this is a single level game only? Why world creation of multiple levels isn’t available in the new improved Switch version is puzzling. Although, admittedly you will find yourself enjoying countless hours of building as a team and playing other’s creations as a team. Only downside in team building maker sessions is there’s no “undo” function? That’s only available in single player mode. So you have to manually erase anything you don’t want if you’re building as a team. Gets annoying if you end up redoing a large portion of your levels. Besides some minor flaws and the ability to create multiple levels in a world, and make a true game-this is fun and great for all ages. Happy creating!

This is an excellent bundle, in which you not only get a year of Nintendo Switch online, but Super Mario Maker 2 as well. The game has great replayability, you can easily find levels made by other players that interest you and that are challenging as well. In addition, building levels is easy as well, as the game has many tools that lets you create your own Mario level.

For anyone who likes Mario or classic Nintendo games is a great start to this description. However, it is so much more. I grew up since original NES Mario and can see all the eras covered in many ways with surprises from current or 3d versions as well. Apart from that, any creative people can truly go deep in this game to get so much more from it. Online component makes it so that you have an unlimited amount of content that can be small and sweet or their own great adventures.

Bought this game for my 9 year old son thinking it wasn’t going to be much of a game but boy was I wrong. He just loves the game he has been making levels and uploading them for others to play. There is also a actual game too. Very fun game for myself also. I would definitely recommend getting it if you already have online membership. We bought the one that come with the one year membership for only $10 more half price of the one year membership cost $20 per year

Remember everything missing in the first Mario Maker? It's here and then some in Super Mario Maker 2. Build your own levels or check out other folk's creations. The sky's the limit to what you can do with everything in this game. It even includes a switch online subscription for just an extra $10 on the retail price, saving you half its cost for one year! This game is definitely a great must have for owners of the nintendo switch to have some fun enjoying!

This bundle is great. Nintendo online, though a little barren, the service is great. The game itself is fun. If you played the original Mario Maker on the Wii U, you know what you're getting into. The game has a few things added to it, and still feels fresh. If you don't have internet, it does come with premade levels made by Nintendo in the story mode. You can also download levels and play them on the go. Highly recommend this game

I love this game, I really do. But Nintendo still does not know how to create a great online gaming experience. So much lag at times during multiplayer. Also they deleted one of Grandpoobear’s (famous speed runner and Mario Maker player) levels without explaining why.

If you have a creative mind and love the Mario series, then you'll have a blast designing your own levels. And if you don't want to bother with that, there is still a full game's worth of single-player levels you can run through here which are great, as well as playing levels designed by players from around the world (if you are have an online membership). It's a must-have game on Switch.

My son loves this game. I like that it has a story mode and online play. Very enjoyable.

Super Mario Maker 2 adds many new features and improvements over the previous game. Very fun to play through the story mode and the endless runs. Trying to one up yourself from previous runs is always endless fun. Only downfall is multiplayer does not have servers so if you run with anyone who might have a bad connection then it will create insane amounts of lag. Wish this feature could be improved.

Building levels is not really my thing, but I was enticed by the inclusion of the 12-month online membership. Glad there is a meaty story mode and ability to play online levels adds to the game's longevity.

Easy to build courses and very fun plus story mode is a blast to play.

We loved Mario Maker when it was released on the Wii U so when it was announced we had to preorder it from Best Buy. It also came with a 12 month subscription to Nintendo online which is a huge plus for me because I love the retro games it’s gives you plus some parts of the maker game require the online portion. Nonetheless love the story mode.
