Many more tools were added to create more unique levels. I myself am not creative but with so many online users, i can always continue downloading new levels to keep the game feeling fresh. Also being able to play up to 4 players on levels is so much fun!

If you loved the original Mario maker on Wii u, you will love this game. It is an improvement in every single way except the fact that on docked mode it is not as fluid to create levels but it is fluid in handheld mode because of touchscreen

My 9 yr old had never played a Mario game, but immediately loved this after starting to play. Thought he might have difficulty making level levels but he really picked it up quick. After every level he plays he brings it over to me to play it?

Game was super fun with my family, we all are super competitive so trust me when i say it had all of us at the edge of our seat!

This game is very fun! we haven't put it down since we bought it 2 weeks ago. The family plays and there are different levels of difficulty for all players of all skill levels. fun, challenging, exciting and new everday with unlimited level possibilities.

I pre- ordered Mario Maker 2 with high Hope's and expectations and when I picked it up on the Release date it Met all of them. It's a great game for the "story" mode and my favorite is online play. I Highly recommend this game to ALL who like Mario Games!

This is basically 5 MARIO games in one! With the creative Mario minds around the world contributing and sharing their own creative Mario levels, there is no end to the fun! The graphics from the retro to the new Mario are crisp and haven’t looked better!

I've been wanting to get a traditional style Mario game for the Switch, and Mario Maker 2 is the best form of that. By including story mode, beginners can get inspiration for good level design before building their own or trying other creators' levels.

The amazing sequel to 2015's Super Mario Maker is back and better than ever in this updated classic that now includes a story mode and online multiplayer. But most importantly, course builders are given more elements than ever to craft their own levels.

Between the ability to create your own levels, play other people’s levels, and play the story mode it’s an amazing package. The only thing it falls short on is local multiplayer, which is not as straight forward as it should be. Otherwise, it’s amazing!

As someone who doesn’t like building levels, I was skeptical about this game. But the story mode is fun and playing levels others built is fun as well. It’s a super fun game even if you never plan on building levels. Highly recommend.

This is such a good Mario game. It lets kids express their creativity while also bringing in a lot of the retro elements of the original games and gaining a new respect for those. We had to buy 2 copies of these for both my kids.

My kids love it , they play and play over and over its what they expect it of the game and very creative

I have only had the game for a couple of days. I made a level and played a bit of the story. I was a little disappointed with Super Mario Marker for the 3-DS because you had to play and unlock stuff and you could not play others boards. In order to make cool boards. Even if you need to do that in this game, you start out with way more options from the get go. I look forward to making more levels and playing levels others create.

Fun to play game. Comes with 100 base levels and then you can make your own! I recommended you play through the game as it gives you many ideas of things you may want to add to your own level. Easy to share and play other levels online. Lots of fun!

The game has a story mode to get ideas for making levels, you can play friends levels or make your own. Or play endless mode on various difficulties to see how many courses you can play in a row before losing all your lives. Great for any Mario fan.

Another Great Mario Game. Much better then Mario Maker 1.

It's great! If you have a Switch then you need this game. Virtually unlimited gameplay with player made levels. And it's got a great story mode with lots of variety in the levels, so even if you don't have online there's still a decent amount to do.

Fun for long long time. Either create levels yourself an share online with friends and online community or download for thousands of levels made by people all over the world. You can do it...beat your best time and compete with friends.
