The new Mario Maker adds dozens of new elements to make the Mario levels of your dreams or everyone else's nightmares! Added a 5th theme (now SMB1, SMB3, SMW, NSMB, SM3DW), doubled the number of backgrounds and dozens of new items, including slopes! Play through 100 pre-made levels from easy breezes to masochistic split-second races, then make your own levels or try out the literally millions already made by other players online! Played: Finished all 100 pre-made levels, tried a few online and sampled the level editor.

We have this game to our son for Christmas & it’s his new favorite game! He loves getting to create mario worlds & the play them.

A substantial upgrade from the first one, although there are still a few things I wish they'd include. So far, everything is really fun!

My son got this for Easter. He loves this game and can spend hours playing it. There's definitely a lot to do and make.

If you liked the first Super Mario Maker, you'll love this one. It has some fun new updates but is the same kind of creative game.

This game builds a bit on the original, but not quite as much as I'd like. Nonetheless, it is incredibly fun.

New building tools in version 2 allow for cool level designs. The ability to save other players levels locally is also a nice addition.

It is amazing to see a game grant the player so many avenues to explore their creativity. Super Mario Maker 2 never has a moment of "It won't let me do X" as the game lets you do X, Y and Z. letting you fulfill that childhood need of making your own Mario course.

Mario Maker 2 is a great addition to your switch library. I dont think its as good as the first one, making levels is a bit clunky and you have to get used to it, but the story mode in this one is almost worth the admission price alone AND the course curation is much improved.

Super Mario Maker 2 is the most accessible game design tool ever created, and that core is just one part of a greater whole. I spent hours building levels, testing them, and starting over again, and I feel like I've only barely scratched the surface of what's possible.

Started it lots of fun the cartridge works great. Story mode is just like a regular Mario game.
