While the addition of Mario 3-D World may appear gimmicky on the outside, it's a well-placed addition to the series and creates a brand-new dynamic in a 2-D atmosphere. Along with almost double the style of boards for the other remaining Mario themes, plus a deep (but short) story mode, there's plenty to do outside of the rebuilt creator's mode and online levels downloaded from others.

A solid sequel
