The game is separated into 2 games: the switch 1 and switch 2 version. The new switch 2 version has everything unlocked and is completely separate from your progress on the initial game.

The disparity between the price and the quantity plus the quality of what the offerings are is massive. Even a basic thing like the image quality is messed up here as well. I'm not 'too' bought into this whole "anti-Nintendo" narrative that's been made this year, but this is one instance where I feel inclined to lean into said narrative.

I mostly enjoy the rollercoaster mode and the Bowser's Stage mode. Overall, if you got this game and a Switch 2, upgrade to the Switch 2 edition ASAP. It is really fun.
