Fan of Mario Party
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thoroughly enjoyed this. Great fun. They went back to the individual character boards. I liked that, but it makes it a little harder for young littles to play when the board has multiple fork options. A lot more stopping to assist. Would be cool to see if they implement both type of boards in the next one I love that still keep so many ways to play the minigames

Super Mario is a Party
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very fun game, even though it's a little bit older it's become one of our favorite games to play as a family! 4 people can play with only two joy-con controllers and all have the same playing experience, which is nice!

Great game for older kids.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is very fun for me, my wife and 6yr old but a majority of the games are difficult for my 3yr old and the different dice they both dont understand. Very fun though.

Fun multiplayer game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is, so far, the most fun multiplayer game on the Switch. There is a large variety of mini-games and they each use the system and controller in a unique way. Minor changes to the larger game board system give it a nice balance between skill and luck. I'm a little disappointed that you can't play this in handheld mode at all and you basically need another pair of joy cons to really get the most out of it which run you another $80. If you have a group to play with though it's definitely worth it.

A lot of fun, needs more boards
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a lot of fun. The different boards provide variety, and there are some extra options with ways to just play mini-games, or try some collaborative games that add a little spice. Hopefully there will eventually be an update that provides another board or two, though; that's the one place that the game could greatly improve. Since Nintendo's been good about adding more features (both through purchased DLC as well as just free updates), it's hopefully not too much to hope for. Still, even with only the main boards present, this is perfect for a group of friends and/or family to spend an evening with.

Great party game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been a long time since playing Super Mario Party and I'm glad Nintendo brought this game to the Switch. Loving the new game boards and new characters, but wish that Nintendo would have accepted the pro controller and the handheld mode to play if it's just you alone besides just one joy con. Also the minigames are really fun and still getting used to the controls with one joy con since i'm used to playing the switch with the pro controller and the handheld mode but eventually I'll get use to it

Fun party game
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super Mario Party has a variety of fun mini games and board game mode to play with a variety of characters. Definitely a great game to play with friends. The controls prompts are simple to use. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because online play with friend only allows you to participate in mini games option as opposed to the full game. Game cube controls do not work with this game. Also if your playing at home with friends up to 4 players they have to bring their own switch controllers or else your limited to 2 players per main gameplay.

Good game but not great for Mario Party
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is slightly lacking when compared to other recent Mario Party games. The online mode only offers 10 mini games of which you play a random 5. Some of the new games are great and the ones using the HD rumble are the highlight of the game. There are only 4 different boards and nothing special about the standard version. The team mode allows for 2 people to play against 2 others and offers slightly more interesting items. Important to know that you must play a lot of the standard board game to unlock the ability to just play mini games. The $60 price is kind of high but I do enjoy playing this game with friends.

Rejuvenation at it's finest
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Often times disappoint just sucks. Let me rephrase that, disappoint is always awful. That is how I felt about Mario Party 9 and Mario Party 10. They took what was a classic game and changed the style so much, that even the most die hard Mario fan such as myself was left never wanting to play. Thus came the Nintendo Switch and the first Mario Party offering on this new console. I'll be honest, given the previous games, skepticism was automatically a factor. Then I watched the trailers for the game and the way you could lay out the Switch Consoles on a table and play the game. I was intrigued and left as Kevin McCallister would say "thirsty for more". I then had the opportunity to play Super Mario Party and I was not disappointed one iota. They went back to the classic style as before where you don't drive around in some stupid car, and it is every person on a board for themselves. Amazing! They then added a new cooperative game mode, and the little kid in me couldn't have been any happier. There is nothing I like more than co-operative games, or chances to do something with someone else to reach a common goal. I play board games all the time, and co-operative games such as Pandemic are at the top of my list. This new mode pits all players in a raft on a stream working together to complete challenges to continue on their journey and it is fantastic. Thank you Mario for always being there for me, and thank you Nintendo for going back to your roots.

Great party game!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fun game to play with friends or alone. There’s something for everyone here — from kids to adults. I really enjoy the different play modes and that you can practice your favorite (or not-so-favorite) games so you’re ready to dominate the next time you play.

Fun but maps could use more creativity
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compared to other games, only 4 maps is a bit disappointing plus they’re smaller. However mini games are fun and nice change with ally dices, etc.

Casualness Done Right
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I feel like Nintendo finally found the right balance between catering to those that just want something light and quick and those who can get invested and competitive. The die roll concepts allows you to really personalize your playing/rolling style. And the accessibility of items and objectives (for lack of better term) on the maps are really good. I love playing this game
