This is a Christmas gift for my son. I read over the other reviews and watched some samples of the game and it looks like it will be fun and challenging. The animation looks great. This is something he has been wanting and I'm sure he'll enjoy.

This game is giving us a lot of fun at home during this stay home time because of the coronavirus. It has a lot of different options and minigames which makes it very entertainment and a excellent to play with my son.

A great game for people of all ages. Great cooperative game play and individual versus game play. This will be a great game purchase for the whole family. Easy to pick up for younger players and understand, and challenging enough for adults.

It’s amazing that family-friendly Nintendo can put out so many games that make you feel genuine animosity towards your friends while playing them. Fortunately this installment of Mario Party isn’t as aggravating, and it’s still just as fun!

What can I say, its a great game. The main can can last at least an hour or so and if you want to just have a quick game, there are minigames for that. The only problem is you will need extra joy cons if you have a lot of people playing.

I don't think I've ever owned a Mario Party game until now, even though I've played a few. This one really is a fun installment, however. The motion functionality is integrated really well into the minigames so that it doesn't feel completely forced. I particularly enjoyed the new mode where you are rafting down a river with your friends as a team trying to reach a goal within a certain time limit (you get extra time added to the countdown by playing and winning minigames as a team). The only downside (which actually prevented us from playing it the first night) was that in order for 4 friends to play you HAVE to have 4 Joycons paired to the system. Pro Controllers WILL NOT work on this game. That said it really is a fun party game and I recommend it, especially if you can catch it at a discount like I did.

I don't play Mario Party or even buy the games as I don't always find anyone to play the games with but having this on the switch is a nice way to spend time with friends or family members. The game looks great on the nintendo switch too.

This game is pretty fun in multiplayer. Got this on sale. The only downside is it's one of the few Switch games that requires original joy cons to play.

Wife and I just bought a Switch and are having fun with the game. I am sure most people have played Mario Party. The thing i like most about the game is that my wife and I can both have fun playing it even though she is generally pretty atrocious at Video Games. I also have fun playing. I'm 30 so it feels a little weird to call myself a gamer, but I have played my fair share of video games, and even though it's a super simple game, I am able to still have fun playing it. Also have played with groups of friends, and it's a hit in those scenarios as well. I have not tried hooking up 2 Switch consoles yet, but the game tells me that is also an option. 8 player??

One of the best Mario games to date side scrolling just like the old days. Good for all ages there's characters you can pick that make gameplay not as hard for younger players. (enemies don't make you take damage and die if you use any the yoshi characters) game is very challenging in sone spots but I probably just suck at Mario.

The game is very good if you are just looking for a great game to play with friends. If you are getting it because of the old SMPs on the N64 then just beware its alot easier and more user friendly. It also only has 4 maps so not too much content in terms of only mario party games but has it alot of other modes

Great sequel in the series, the graphics are superb, and the gameplay is super smooth. The Switch may not be the most powerful console on the market, but Nintendo does a great job taking advantage of their hardware’s capability,

My kids are enjoying this game a lot, the price was a little bit high but they did a price match in that game, so that could work for you too, the price match is real, kids and family will love this game....

Highly enjoyable for game night with the friends. A classic to its name while still adding new games incorporating motion controls and other Switch features. Also enjoyable for solo play to progress through the campaign -yes it's Mario PARTY, suited for multiplayer but it's more a go-to for multiplayer rather than needing a party to play. I can't however speak for the hardcore fans of the series as they may have more stringent criteria or expectations lending this game to be better or worse than previous. If you've casually played and enjoyed the previous Mario Party titles or are looking for a fun switch title for a game night, this is your choice, you won't be disappointed. Cheers!

A Big Step in the Right Direction

Super Mario Party is not quite as intricate or feature-rich as past highlights of the series (Mario Party 3-5), but it is a huge step up from the last few entries. A more traditional board structure returns with a great assortment of minigames. No real stinkers from what I've encountered so far. And the co-op rafting thing is a hoot and a half. We played that as much as the regular boards. I wish it had more of the 4-player minigames as you run through them all multiple times in a single raft trip, but it never gets to be too much of a drag. Overall, the items and available settings don't offer quite as much to do during regular play as Mario Party 4 or 5, but if you've been waiting for a return to form from the N64/Gamecube days, this will definitely do it for you.
