Our families favorite game! We spent hours playing the different boards and mini games. Interactive and great graphics. A huge step up from when Mario party was first introduced!

This game is a good game to get for the Switch if you want more multiplayer games and want to have a fun way to pass the time with friends and family. You might have a little less fun trying to play the game by yourself though, especially if you expect to play the boardgame part of the game using Switch Online with other people in another room or house. Unfortunately, you can only play minigames if your friends or family members aren't in the same room as you to play the game which seems to be a missed opportunity on the part of Nintendo. This is probably why many gaming YouTubers recommend other games right when you get a Switch over this one because it's simply not as fun without it. Although this game is better than previous Mario Party games like Mario Party 9 and 10 was. This is of course for you the customer to decide though. If you're a parent and you want a fun game to play with your kids in the same room or want to get a fun multiplayer game for them to play when their friends or extended family come over I highly recommend this game along with something like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Such a fun game. Multiple game modes including partner play, river survival, mini games, sound stage and challenge road. Only thing is can play only using joy con controllers.

What can I say, it's another Mario Party and it's super addictive and fun! It's something my wife requests to play, and she's not a gamer so that's a huge plus! LOL I love how to add features and different stuff to the games but don't overdo it like a lot of companies do. I'm not sure the total amount of stuff you can unlock, as I like to be surprised when playing through! I'm also not too sure how online works with this, as I think it's just a 2v2 minigame battle that you can do online. Would be a 6 STAR purchase if you were able to hop on and play with anybody in the world on the standard board game "Mario Party" game mode.

This is a great game that makes great use of the switch as an interactive family activity. Best played by 2 or more players, but there's still a lot of fun to be had playing alone!

The mini-games are a blast and easy for 4 people to play. Need to purchase two extra joy-cons for 4-person play. Mini-games have clear instructions, "practice time", are easy to understand right away.

I assumed this would be the same Mario Party as the Wii U version with better graphics. It is soooo much more. The mini games and fun and there are a lot of them. You even have to unlock some.

I bought this game along with a Nintendo Switch for my 10 year old niece and 8 year old nephew. My nephew had played Switch games at a friend's house but my niece hadn't. It's their first system and first game so I wanted them to have something they could both play (nephew wanted Mario Kart or Zelda). They love it! I sat with them for the first 30 minutes or so to teach them hand motions (like for the trike race), how to use the controllers, and how to navigate the map and they were good to go. They told me they weren't crazy about the actual Party game where you roll the dice and move, they just like playing all the mini games, particularly the river raft game. Great intro to the system, can't wait to get them more.

A lot of fun to play with 2-4 players. Whole lot of new mini games. One game can take 30mins-1 hour to complete. Must have for those that grew up playing Mario party! Now you get to share that with your kids!

Bought this for my daughters who’ve played this since it came out on the Wii . They played for hours and laughed and had a good time . They told me that the new MARIO PARTY was just as fun as the original .

I will be honest, I don't like party games. I prefer single player experiences where I don't have to collaborate with anyone, it says a lot about my personality. But there are times where I am responsible for providing guests with entertainment. The switch was made for that. Snap the controllers in half, pop this game in and as long as you tell everyone to put the safety strap on before you leave the room, you don't have to do any work! Your lawn could be razed by a plasma weapon, and your kitchen could be declared a bio-hazard, but your neighbors will remember winning a mini-game where they have to shake candy out of a bottle.

Just as a warning, my pro controller didn't work and you have to detach the side controllers so find those little brackets that go on top of them! Other than that this was an awesome game to play with my 5 year-old daughter this weekend, a little frustrating at times and not enough levels otherwise it would be 5 stars.

There are multiple modes: work together as a team of 4, 2 teams of 2, or everyone for themselves. There is also a rhythm mode and you can play with to switches together (still only 4 players). You can gain ally's, collect "stickers", and unlock characters. There are motion controls, but they have improved greatly over the Wii version. The only downside to the game is that you cannot play single player handheld mode, you need to be able to detach the joycons from the docks in order to play. It's challenging, silly, fun, and you can play a game in about an hour. It feels like an electronic board game. You do not need to have the online capabilities to play all aspects of this game.
