This comes with a Smash Bros Pro Controller which looks amazing compared to the original, a beautiful black steel case with a shiny Smash Ball logo and holographic battlefield inside, and of course the game which is probably the best Smash Bros. to date. It rivals Melee. The box has a great holographic cover to it which makes it stand out when you display it. My only gripe is that it didn’t come with the original case for the game which is a very small concern. It’s well worth the $118 I spent on it. (I still get 20% new games because of GCU). A must have for fans of the Smash Bros. series!!

I’ve been waiting for this ever since the March 2018 announcement. With 77 characters to choose from and more to come in the future, this is definitely the best game I ever purchased!

For Nintendo’s most anticipated game for each new system, with a roster of over 70 characters, and tons of vibrant and colorful stages to fight one, they designed the lamest Steelbook ever. It’s beyond lazy. It’s a waste of a Steelbook. I would’ve bought this edition anyways to get the controller bundle, but man was I disappointed when the artwork wasn’t just a place holder but the real official approved art. The game is amazing, but you know that already.

This game is a must have for Nintendo Switch owners! The special edition is a bit plain, with it only coming with a steelbook as the only exclusive part, but still nice! The pro controller is also great, with a very clean and minimal design that makes it stand out compared to a normal pro controller. Definitely worth getting if you can still find it!

This is a beautiful package for probably the biggest and best Smash Bros. yet made. The steelbook is sleek and attractive, and the Pro Controller is a thing of aesthetic and ergonomic beauty. It feels so easy and natural to use it while playing the game. The box everything comes packaged in is also absolutely gorgeous, with its shiny embossed foil finish. Unfortunately, Best Buy slapped a pre-order sticker onto the front of mine and irrepairably damaged some of the artwork, which is frustrating because of its collectibility. But aside from that, this was a great purchase that I happily made again because my daughter also wanted one for Christmas! It's too bad that Nintendo doesn't tend to reprint their special editions, because they're always in such high demand.

This game has so many features, characters and Easter eggs packed in that I've been barely scratched the surface after 30 hours. The added steel case and controller makes it even better! Huge roster of characters for the price that took over 20 hours to unlock them all. The story mode can take least 20 hours to complete and it's a fun mode with a neat story line and objectives. Online is passable but I hope it improves. It works great in portable or docked. Frame rate is solid and graphics are great on both modes. This bundle is a must buy for the "Ultimate" Smash fan!

Smash Bros Ultimate is the latest iteration in the series and the first game released on the Nintendo Switch. It's a fighting game features a massive roster of characters, and will provide you with many hours of entertainment. I've only played single player and have yet to play the multiplayer of this title (since an online subscription is required.) On the whole the game is excellent, and this particular version comes with a Pro Controller for your Switch as well, in addition to a steelbook.

like many others have been eagerly expecting this game. When I heard that it was coming in a limited edition I knew I had to get it, luckily I was able to buy it successfully with no issues. The Special edition of this game is gorgeous. The box for the game comes in a holographic box that really stands out. Once you open the box you are greeted with the Smash Bros Pro Controller which is in a beautiful white color, and has such a subtle yet not overdone look, I like it. The game itself is in a black steel case and it looks and feels expensive. The Smash Bros logo on the game case like the Game Box is also holographic and it really stands out whether you're looking at it head on, or shining it in the light. The game itself is the smash you now and love with every Smash Character that has been available throughout the history of Smash as well as some new characters as well (King K Rool, Ridley, Isabella, etc.). This game I will say if you're a new comer will be friendly for you. There are some mechanics to learn, but with the amount of time you have to invest in these games unlocking characters, tracks, etc. by the end of your time with this game, you'll be a pro. To all Switch owners out there get this game, enjoy it, and Marvel in Nintendo's great history.

The game has an almost insane amount of content, with a 300+ maps if you count the different types. There are over 70 characters, with all the characters from the previous games as well as a few new comers. The pro controller is comfortable and has a nice design, and the steelbook design is a bit bland in my opinion, but the inside more than makes up for it.

This version of the game includes a steel book case and a Pro controller. These items are simple in design and muted in color, a stark contrast to the game itself. Smash bros. is colorful, vibrant, hectic, and great fun.

Smash is back in a big way! There are over a hundred stages ready to play from the start and tons of characters to unlock! You can unlock new characters multiple ways through all the different modes and it seems like you are always taking on a new challenger every 10 minutes or so after completing a mode or set of custom battles. Some people wish that all the characters were unlocked from the beginning, but I prefer the method the developers chose because it keeps me coming back for more and makes trying out the newest unlocked character fun! So if you’re a fan of Smash this game is definitely for you and if you’re new to the series this is a fantastic entry!

The game has been a lot of fun so far. The multiplayer is what it has always been but the world of light is also a very fun solo experience. The controller and steel case are incredible!

Everybody has been waiting years for a new Smash Bros and its here. The best one yet and this special edition is even better with the limited Smash controller and steelbook.

This game has an extraordinary amount of content. It's amazing how many characters are in the game, with more soon to come. The Pro Controller is great, too.

This game was highly anticipated, and Mr. Sakurai delivered. Absolutely stunning game. Multiple gameplay options. As for the special edition, the box art is amazing. Beautiful graphics. The steelbook case is sleek, not to mention the nice accent touch of the battlefield background. The pro controller is amazing with clean and neat white grips, and the smash icon looks crisp. Fun game and steelbook/controller are cool, however not sure how good a value this is if you don't want the steelbook

Rating is for the game which is great and I reviewed it in the normal listing. But the actual CE itself is a bit lacking. The controller, IMO, is nothing special and the steelbook is nice, but also nothing special. I wish they included the normal case as well as a few other extras. It is very plain for the amount it costs and it just doesn't seem like much value if you were to just purchase the controller and game separately.

This game is massive. 70+ characters to choose from, an adventure mode stuffed with fights that can take upwards of 24 hours to beat, other single player modes like Classic and Mob Smash, and hours upon hours of multiplayer fun, both local and online. Definitely worth it for fans of the series, or any of the Nintendo and 3rd party series included. Steelbook was bland but the controller was fantastic!

At first when I saw the game, I was reluctant because I thought it was a wii u port but It really does deserve the title ultimate. It includes all the character from the previous smash games and they have added more. There is over 100 stages and they have done some gameplay tweaks that I appreciate. This edition comes with a smash pro controller and a very nice steelbook that makes it worth getting.
