I highly recommend this game for everyone, kids and adults, my daughter and I enjoyed so much building all the pieces of lego before start playing the video game!

New to the PS4 and I knew I had to get a lego game this was highly reccomended and I'm not disappointed

It came with a huge slice in it and it wasn't due to packing materials. Missing parts due to this

I'm and old-school gamer and resisted Toys-to-Life games for two reasons: Buy-in Cost and reputation of developers This is my first dip in because they just drastically dropped the price and TTGames is a great developer. I'm glad I did, because this game has some of the most creative and fun gameplay I've ever experienced. I've always held that Mario 64 is the greatest game ever because it created a world that you could explore at your leisure and peppered-it with lots of little bite-size missions and goals. This is the ultimate evolution of Mario 64 with the exploration and discovery of new abilities with the characters turned-up to 10. Yes - it's a collectathon - but you don't have to participate. It's got something for everyone. Young to old. I bought it for the kids, but I have the most hours invested.

I am very pleased with Lego Dimensions, and so is my son. I especially like the fact that the additional characters and vehicles are not platform specific. You can use them on any console, PC, etc without having to purchase duplicate copies. You can even take them to a friend's house and use them on his copy of the game and they'll help gain you access to the associated worlds there. There's no levels to register/purchase/download. Having a character from a particular world, gives you access to that world, in addition to whatever powers/abilities that character/vehicle has. All I need now is the ability to purchase additional "toy tags" for the mounts/vehicles, so that we don't have to reprogram them each time they go from one save to another.

To start off, I only bought this for the Supergirl figure. I'm still a little bummed that the company has gone the way of exclusives and this was a huge blow to early adopters. As I have this game for the Xbox One it was frustrating the only way to get the figure was by purchasing the PS4 version that included her. My frustrations, however, don't take away from the fact that this game is great and this starter pack is a must for anyone that is just getting into the Lego Dimensions game. Best Buy also made this purchase easier by having a 50% discount on release with the GCU to pile onto it. If you have not bought into the GCU subscription and plan on buying this and all character packs then consider getting it!

After waiting to see if this style of portal was going to make it, after seeing Disney infinity fall flat on its face, I was very happy to pick up this starter pack. The Legos that come with the starter pack are unique. You get to actually build them! No other portal sets allow that. The game is fantastic and is the best lego game I've played yet, and I own over 10 altogether now. 5☆ for this great set!

Really fun game. This came with supergirl. There are lots of add-ons to purchase and updates to download. The game gets a little glitchy, I recommend downloading everything before you start making progress.

I LOVE this game! I love that it incorporated building with the story line. My boyfriend and I play together switching back and forth. There is literally no limit on what they can do with this game. We haven't even got to use the expansion pack we bought. Great deal for Black Friday but totally would have spent the full price for this great game.

I didn't know much about Lego Dimensions before buying the starter kit, but I liked other Lego video games and decided to give it a try. Turns out we loved the entire system and how everything works together - ended up buying a whole bunch of different Fun, Level and Story Packs during Best Buy's recent 50% sale. Prices are a little steep without a sale, but you're getting a very nice Lego building experience in addition to the video game content - it's pretty ingenious how they're able to make 3 different models out of just a few pieces for each vehicle/gadget. Also, if you can get the starter kit with Supergirl, she's a great additional character to have (lots of additional powers to unlock more in game content). Only negative is that I wish local multiplayer was up to 4 players so me and both of my kids could play at the same time.

This is such a great idea! The fact that they made the additional figures and sets universal and not tied to one system, is both genius and amazingly ungreedy, for a company. I love that it allows for friends with different sets to either lend them to one another, or even just play together occasionally to access different levels. They even added a "hire-a-hero" feature that allows players that can't, or don't want to, go out and buy all the different types of characters to "rent" a character using in-game acquired studs in order to access their special abilities. This is a great game for lovers of the Lego series, Lego toys, and there is surprisingly complex depths to the gameplay, especially where the portal platform is involved.

The starter pack is a great entry into the Lego Dimensions world. And there's the bonus for PS4 owners - the exclusive Supergirl figure that, at least as of now, unlocks a special ability in the game that only she can perform. For completists, until TT releases another figure with the Lantern ability, this is a necessity. A couple of notes, if you're buying this for the Supergirl figure, be sure it is the specially-marked PS4 version (there's a picture of Supergirl in the upper right corner). At my local Best Buy, they had placed 2 non-Supergirl PS4 versions in front of the one that included Supergirl. Second thing - wait for a sale. There are some really good sales (I got this set at 40-50% off). Dimensions sets in general go on sale fairly regularly so a little waiting can save you a bunch of money. I was able to get all of the 7.5 wave sets at 40% off when they launched so it isn't only the older sets that go on sale.

Lego Dimensions is truly a video game and a Lego toy. You don't have to build the characters, vehicles, sidekicks, or even the portal if you don't want to. This means that all you really need to play the video game are the RFID bases. Therefore, my child and I have had a good time of playing with the characters and vehicles separately from the video game. The video game is great by itself and it is always expanding its universe in new and exciting ways. If you already love Lego videogames, then you must get this set. If you have a PS4, then only buy this Supergirl set because she is extra (you still have Gandalf, Batman, and Wyldstyle) and exclusive to PS4.

Lego dimensions is an incredibly fun game for the family and having actual Lego mini-figures and miniature vehicles to play with separately from the game adds greatly to the value. My favorite thing about this purchase is that it came with the exclusive Supergirl figure, who is also able to change into Red Lantern in-game by holding down the triangle button. The amount of abilities she has makes her easily our favorite character, not just out of those included, but out of all the packs we have acquired over time. If you have a PS4 and are considering purchasing Lego Dimensions, do yourself a favor and get the version with Supergirl. You won't regret it.

The game is fun on its own, but as my kids played on noticed that they need new mini figure's to able access certain areas in the game and also being able to add more level by collecting more of the toys. It will get expensive, but I'm sure the holidays will bring sales of some sort to be able to buy the play sets for cheap.

The game plays similar to previous Lego games, but with the option to buy charactter and level packs. The great thing is when you buy these character and level packs you get actual Legos to build.

Lego dimensions starter pack has a large amount of content for the price . This content can be enhanced by buying other packs to go with it which lead to endless hours of fun and exploring

The series of Lego Dimension could be costly if you want to buy every set, but this starter pack is great value for anyone. You don't need any other sets to enjoy it. You get to enjoy building some Lego's and you get a full Lego games story spanning multiple franchises. From the Simpsons to Back to the future. Plus it is compatible and needed for the new Lego Dimensions season 2 stuff. This particular version of the starter pack also includes as of now a PS4 exclusive Supergirl. Which can make levels easier with her flying ability.

Pretty good game. Similar to all other lego games. The only thing that is annoying is that all of the add on lego figures have no instructions, you have to load the game and look at them on the screen. That is very annoying when trying to put together legos.
