After numerous failed scripts and numerous directors, finally a story to bring Superman back into theaters, and directed by Bryan Singer of the X-men and X-men 2 movies. Yes, it could have used a bit more action, but the personal story shined through to give Superman an extra dimension.

Brandon Routh plays Superman well, as does Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. Some cool action sequences, no super battles unfortunately. We'd have to wait for Man of Steel to see those...

Superman Returns in 1080p. I actually still prefer 1080p over 4K, so this was the right choice for me. But it only get's 4 stars because it didn't come with the Digital Copy.

This movie is OK. It is not as good as Superman, The Movie from 1979 nor is it as good as the follow up in Superman II. It strives to forget Superman III and Superman IV. It also tries to have more of a development of character then action. While the parts are played well (Brandon Roth is very good at communicating the spirit of Christopher Reeves) the movie still seems to lack a connection.

I think they did a good job bringing back the Superman franchise. It is a little long but still entertaining for most of the movie.

Bought to supplement our road trip collection. Pretty good movie overall

Superman Returns really gets lost in the shuffle between the original Donner films and the new DCEU movies, but I really enjoyed this as a slower look at Superman. It may not have much action at all, but Brandon Routh makes for a great Superman, and I also really enjoyed Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. Really, though, I'm just glad to have a movie set in the same universe as the originals without their ridiculous camp

No longer the 2nd worst Superman film, has aged surprisingly well.

Love watching this movie from time to time. Recommend it if you haven’t seen it.
