My daughter, age 6, loved this controller for the month and a half it worked properly. The small size was perfect for her little hands. This was purchased 11/06. And today, 12/26, it has stopped working properly. An error message keeps popping up whenever we try and use this controller saying the controller isn’t connected, even though the connections are secure and snug both where it fits into the controller and where it connects to the USB port of the console. It’s disappointing as I had high hopes for this.

My 6-year-old has been desperate to play games like Minecraft and Bluey with the family, but the standard Xbox controller is just way too big for her hands. This Surge Microwatt controller is an absolute game-changer. The size is exactly what we needed. She can hold it properly and reach every single button without straining. She was so excited that she could finally play effectively. The blue color and LED lights are a big hit, too. The best part for me? It's wired! I don't have to worry about charging batteries or it dying mid-game. You just plug it into the Xbox's USB port, and it works instantly. It even has a headset jack so she can use her own headset. If you're looking for a controller to make Xbox accessible for your young child, this is it. 100% recommend and got it on sale!

My little girls love playing video games with me. The only problem we had is that they could only use Switch controllers because of their small hands. I made the mistake of getting them into a few pc games and theyd use my wolverine to play. After hearing it hit the floor a few too many times we headed to BB to get them a controller. When we saw these we got so excited and bought them each their own. They absolutely love them. As someone that pays WAAAY to much money for quality peripherals, I was shocked at how high quality these controllers felt. The sticks are smooth and tight, bumpers, and buttons are crisp as well! I actually take one on occasion if im playing something on my steam deck in bed as its a little less cumbersome than the tourney controllers. Im ngl this is a very good purchase for anyone with kids, small hands, and/or games while traveling. Much much better and less than half the price of joycons.

Controller works great for my 6 year old son. He likes the illumination on the controller that can be turned on/off with a press of a button. The smaller size fits great in his smaller hands. 5 stars if it was wireless.

Perfect size for my youngest daughter. She's now 8 but still has small hands and this controller is perfect. She struggled on normal controllers to play and this fits perfectly for her little hands. I highly recommend for those with kids that need a controller that fits small hands, I would say 5 and up for sure.

My four year old was so excited to play paw patrol racing on Xbox with me. When I opened the controller she started squealing she was so happy to have a controller that could fit in her little hands so perfectly. Unfortunately like other reviewers stated there are quality control issues with this controller. I plugged in the usb to type c cord into the controller & the led lights didn’t turn on, flash or anything, When I unplugged the cord the led’s did flash. That’s when I noticed if I held the type c plug on the controller it would power on but as soon as I let go nothing. To see the look on her face just broke my heart, so I let her use a regular Xbox controller in which she struggled with control as it’s just to big for her hands. Size wise it’s perfect for 4 year olds & up. The build quality needs improvement. I believe the manufacturer should make it with the cord fabricated into the controller & that might help the loose connection issue.

My son loves his new controller, he can actually reach all the buttons since it’s smaller!

I have had this for about a month, and am satisfied so far. I was looking for something for my three year old son and this controller is perfect for small hands.

This controller isn't half bad it is kind small but does make for a good travel controller. The only thing is it says the cable is detachable but it doesn't say that it has a batter to be wireless.

We got this for our 6 yr old. She loves to play games. Its a perfect fit in her hands and she is more capable to play now that her fingers can reach all the buttons.

Bought for a smaller child that had a hard time holding a fullsize controller. Works great.

This little controller is perfect for kids about 5 years of age. The rgb is an added bonus I was not expecting.

It was neat when it worked. What stopped working was the connection where the usb c connects to the controller. It was unfortunate that it stopped working after 4 uses, especially since my kid really liked it.

My kids love this controller. It’s the perfect size for them because they always struggled with the regular controllers.
