I paired the SVS SB-1000 with the Edifier R1850DB powered bookshelf speakers for my gaming computer. The Edifier's have a subwoofer out that allows you to use any subwoofer you want. A really nice feature! The compact size made the SVS easy to fit under the desk, but I still may move it around to maximize the performance. I honestly don't know how SVS squeezed a 300w amplifier and a 12" driver in such a small enclosure. This sub can fill a small or medium size room quite well, and provides punchy, deep, high quality bass. None of that buzzy sounding bass you get from lower quality subwoofers. I use it primarily for music and gaming, and find it to be quick and responsive. If you have a larger room you may need to add a second one of these or upgrade to the ported or higher level model, as the SB-1000 doesn't produce high SPL levels in larger areas. This SB-1000 fit my needs perfectly and looks and sounds great. Looking forward to many years of enjoyment.

I added this to setup with two bi-amp full size floor tower speakers and two medium size rear pedastal mounted speakers and a center speaker for voice or dialog. Four-way, floorstanding, acoustic-suspension Drive-units: 1" fluid-cooled aluminum-dome tweeter 4" upper-midrange unit, Crossover frequency 320Hz 6.5" lower-midrange unit; Crossover frequency 100Hz 10" long-throw polypropylene-cone woofer Base was very good with these speakers with bi-amp output from my Denon 4300H receiver. I wanted more low end punch and did not want to add to the load of the receiver and went with a powered subwoofer with its on internal amp. The choice then became whether to go with a ported or non-ported design. For the size of my room and with the 10" woofers in the two front tower speakers I knew that I did not need the larger ported SVS subwoofers. With this setup and playing home theater content the subwoofer literally makes itself felt, and without any distortion. Some folks recommend a dual subwoofer setup which makes no sense at all. There is no directionality with the lower frequency output of subs and so very little to be gained by adding a second subwoofer. I highly recommend using a SVS interconnect cable for the amp to subwoofer connection. They are very well made and reasonably priced. You can buy more expensive ones for grins but they will not improve the quality of the audio regardless of the marketing hype.

This will definitely shake the walls! If you're looking for a budget hi-fi subwoofer, look no further. This one is the best value, all around! Can't go wrong!

This sub is just what I needed. A 12 inch woofer in a compact acoustic suspension enclosure. It tucks away in a convenient location and adds a clean accurate bass note to any of my music selections. Want more bass? There is a volume control but maybe a ported subwoofer would be better for you. So far I pleased and thinking it’s a good match up.

Honestly, I didn't want to spend this much money on a Subwoofer, however, my BestBuy in-home sales consultant recommended it saying we wouldn't be disappointed....and he was correct! It sits in our family room to enhance 6 sets of wall/ceiling speakers and it totally rocks!! The bass bouncing off the hardwood floors if fabulous. Don't cheap out, spend the money and buy this ONE!!

Just renewed my speaker system for my Pioneer Elite 7.1 receiver with in-ceiling speakers and this new Woofer. The woofer makes Thunder roll though the room, very impressive!

Delivers accurate bass. Deep rich sound. Perfect for great movie experience.

Performs very well. Communicates well with Marantz receiver and game consoles.

I purchased this subwoofer to accompany the SVS Prime Wireless Speakers. This subwoofer packs a great punch and makes it great for both music listening and movie watching. Not disappointed at all!

Our new home came with surround sound, and I wanted to take full advantage of sound in the room. After doing much research, decided that the SVS 12" subwoofer was what I needed. I am very impressed with the unit! It does not take up much space, but boy does it deliver. Very pleased with this purchase, and would highly recommend.

I was concerned that a 12’ subwoofer would not be loud enough in my open concept living room but this thing is amazing.

The speakers fit nicely in the corner of the room. The performance has been excellent.

VS - 12" 300W Powered Subwoofer - Piano gloss white is a small and powerful sub great looking. Good for compromise spaces. I’m buying another for better coverage

SVS is THE subwoofer company. They do it better than anyone.

It does a great job for all kinds of movies and music.

Strongly recommended, for the money this thing is incredible.
