    Great Pro-grade IP Security System

    After having several standalone security cameras, I decided to get a real wired security system that was based on Power over Ethernet (PoE). I am so glad I got this system. This is a really professional security system, just without the off-site professional monitoring (which by the way saves about $50-$60 in monthly fees). Seems like at least one of these complaints sounds like it’s written by a competitor. I can view the cameras just fine, I can hear audio and the video is super clear. While setting them up does take time with running the wires, the feeds show up on your monitor as soon as you connect the cameras to the recorder. I love having the option of continuous recording or recording only events. I also love the spotlights, for as small as they are, they are brighter than I expected.

    Currently meeting our exterior surveillance needs

    Thus far, I am happy with this purchase. However, there are times when I am trying to access the cameras' live feeds via the mobile app and it will not display the live feed, or displays it for a while then stops. I cannot determine whether this is due to latency between the cameras and the NVR, or the upload speed of the internet to which the NVR is connected, or something else. I have experienced similar issues with our Ring doorbell, so it might be a problem with the internet connection.

    The cameras are great! Move easily…I did not mount or set them up Best Buy did…but adjustments I made were easy! There’s a bit of a delay on visual and a pretty bad delay on audio but all in all very happy with the peace of mind these bring

    This system exceeds my expectations. The picture quality is outstanding and the cameras are well built. Its a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for.

    I think these cameras work really good easy to set up and the picture is really good, only disappointment was that is the video that advertised this product shows it able to capture license plates. But to me it don’t record them that clear you might be able to see only one letter or number. But I’m still learning how to use everything on them so maybe I’m doing something wrong

    Great system - fairly user intuitive…great picture and video quality. Night vision is great as well! Only drawback is not all the cameras display all the time-meaning, outbid the 8 cameras, sometimes 6 and 8, or 7, or a combination of them won’t display. To fix this, you need to power down and reset the system.

    Bought this to replace a security company who had a crappy CEO. Good thing for email leaks. Anyway, camera are nice, wish the ethernet cords came 100ft than 60ft but that’s my issue. The software take some getting use to but not too complicated. Wish the frame rate was min 30 fps not 15 fps.

    GREAT CAMERA BUT ONE CHANNEL QUIT AFTER ABOUT 10 DAYS . I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO WAIT A MONTH OR TWO TO GET SOMEONE OUT HERE TO FIX IT. CALLING FOR A FIX OVER THE PHONE IS A BUST .

Please know Swann offers a one-year warranty provided a copy of your receipt or longer with valid registration. You can request if you are eligible for an Advanced Shipment for your order to be shipped out as a priority (more information may be required). While our main offices in the US, UK, and Australia are starting to see a reduction in COVID-19 restrictions, our Technical Support team headquartered in Manila continues to experience significant restrictions in their area. Wait times for calls and responses to emails and chats from our Technical Support team continue to be impacted as a result.

    They last 15 months, HDMI doesn’t work anymore, second time buying the same brand, but goodbye Swann not recommended

    Pros: 4k, Spotlight, Speaker & Microphone. Cons: Badly designed mobile app, sectioned confusingly recordings with no clear marking, for easy viewing; No working app for viewing and saving through PC connected to the same network. Swannview Link for Windows DOES NOT WORK, completely failed to connect. Through own attempt, was able to view live through IE, however, not able to pull footages directly to hard disk. The only way is to use USB using the NVR itself. How inconvenient, and insane is that, especially when the NVR is placed in the basement or attic. Bottom line is that it's not practical until both the remote app and local view problems resolved.

    Do your due diligence before purchase

    I can't stress enough how important it is to do your due diligence before committing to a brand that you are expecting to keep you and your family safe. I was excited when I found this system on sale and ordered right away. Everything seemed to be working during an initial test but ignorant me didn't bother to test all the Ethernet cables prior to installation. If you get this system please take the Ethernet cables and gift them to your biggest enemy. They're so cheap and fragile that 2 mine ended up not working. I've been in touch with Swan for about 3 months now and they've had me jump through many hoops to avoid sending me new cables. Finally, after over a month or ghosting me, Swan started emailing me and calling me several times after 11PM. While I appreciate that they finally decided to take me serious, I think I would prefer not to get bombarded with calls that late in the night. Overall, the system is a good value when on sale but be prepared to provide your own Ethernet cables and don't bother with any support after the return period.
