This does NOT come with audio. The only way to record audio is to purchase a seperate mic that comes from a 3rd party. Customer support is very hard to reach. The prompt said next in line expected wait is less than 1 minute but i stayed on the line for 45 min the 1st time before hanging up, 10 min the second time and finally over 30 min the last time before getting to speak to next in

This system has two parts the 8 channel DVR with 4 indoor/outdoor cameras and a WIFI tracking Camera. Perhaps I am not as up on new stuff as I should be. I like to use an app as much as the other guy to check the house. But especially now working from home I would really like to control all my security devices from whatever computer / smart tv I am at. The WIFI cam will only work with an IOS or Android device. This is not the only product like this and if you are happy using a hand held device to include the feed for the track cam you are good to go. Setting up the track cam, was easy but because of unique characteristics of my network I did need to call technical support. They were kind and efficient. The video quality is good and you can pan around a large area with software. Onboard memory slot is nice to make it a stand alone device. No need to pay for cloud storage. The DVR with wired cameras is a nice unit. For some the wires are a setback but for me the extra work of placing the cameras can be worth it for the stability and reliability they give. I just wish that the track cam was compatible with the DVR - it is not. I can load the Swann app in my computer and add the DVR and channels easily but I cannot add the track cam to see everything in one p[lace. The mobile app does allow for this so this may make it a good fit for you. The color night vision is something you will want to understand. When the wired camera detects motion it turns on a light so it can "see" in the dark. I can see where there are a lot of applications where this sudden illumination would let you see what is happening and potentially startle off a burglar. On the other hand if you are expecting to be able to monitor the area infrared / stealth mode is not available. The siren is loud and for those situations where you do want to startle someone the blue and red lights are also a good addition. All in all, you are getting a lot of local storage in a device that wont tie up a computer. The interface is intuitive and super easy to navigate with the included mouse. Hopefully there will be a way to integrate the track cam in the local display needed for the DVR unit. Stay safe out there!!

The cameras dont have a duo 2-way in which you couldn't hear anything or speak to anyone outside. That is the only bad feature

Having problems already with them already not to sure about these! Swann cameras might not be good enough

I thought my cameras were going to work. The alarm doesn't work. And on top of that i paid full price and got a open shipment box. This isn't my first time ordering these cameras but this was the worse purchase i have made. I want a partial refund because i need the cameras and spent the whole evening setting them up outside my home

I chose the Swann 8 Channel 1TB, 4x 1080p Enforcer™ Cameras & Powered Wifi Auto Tracking Camera – White since it seemed like a pretty decent system for my needs. I decided to install it myself since I am pretty handy. Over all the installation was pretty straight forward with the included directions. The only ugh moment was when reading the instructions it tells you to hook the Ethernet cable from the dvr to your router. However in unpacking it I noticed that there was a wireless usb antenna so I kept reading and rereading the instruction book and it did not mention it. Finally I looked at the bag with the antenna and low and behold there was instructions for it. I wish they had included that as an option in the main install booklet but oh well I figured it out. They do divided the instructions into two booklets, one to tell you how to install and one to tell you how to set up the system afterwards and they are clearly labeled. I hooked it to my 65 inch 4k tv and holy cow! I could see on the front porch of a house an etire block away(I live on a corner and it was showing me my front yard and down the street) The picture was very clear and I could discern colors on it. I could not zoom in clearly enough to see the license plate of the vehicle in the driveway across the street but I could tell you make model and color of it. I do have to mess around with it a bit more as I have not yet figured out how to turn the siren on, when I enable it for some reason it doesn’t work but the flashing lights do! This system has 4 cameras included but can hook up to 8 into it. The auto tracking camera was also very easy to set up and get running. I actually put it inside a window at the front of the house so if you come to the front door I can clearly see you. The siren on it drove my dog and cat batty so I may not utilize it as much but the flashing light works great! I have not yet figured out a way to see this other camera on the dvr but that is fine since I have them all in the same app on my phone so I can see it all from there. I admittedly had never really heard of this brand before but really wish I had because I would have gotten this a lot sooner!

Let me start by saying that this is a very complete system that does not require a great deal of DIY experience. In the box were four 1080P cameras and cables, one DVR with 1TB of storage and one wireless camera. I'll start with the wired cameras. Once everything was connected and a monitor is connected to the DVR you will have access to the setup program. Here you can name cameras get connected to WiFi, yes you have the option of WiFi or wired network access from the DVR and a host of other settings. Warning, the quick setup instructions are included but it does not cover all the various settings the DVR can perform. Have to go online for the rest. The quality of the wired cameras is very good. Images are clear and motion capture is good. The cameras have spot lights and alarms which is good. The downside is that since these are color night vision cameras, the lights will come on once triggered by motion but I could never get them to go off! They turned off at sunrise. I was told and read that there is an options somewhere to not have them come on but it never worked for me. That one item withstanding, I like the wired cameras. The wireless camera is really cool! Once you connect it to your wifi network, you can pull it up on your mobile device through the Swann app and the image is displayed in both panoramic and a condensed view. If there is someone walking in the cameras view, the camera will track with the individual. The downside is you cannot view your wireless camera through the DVR, you can only view it on your mobile device. I'm sure updates will be coming but that's where it is today. Overall this is a good system that has a number of features I didn't even get into yet!

Very straight forward. Unbox everything, run your wires (the hardest part) mount your cameras (a distant 2nd hardest part), plug everything in, off you go. The DVR setup is a breeze, simply follow the quick start guide and you're up and running. Only thing I would even remotely consider detracting a star for would be the wires, but that's why they offer a wireless camera version, so I really can't hold that against SWANN. Everything else is super simple, straight forward, and works as expected. Video quality is top notch in the day and more than adequate at night. I've left the settings at 1080p as it allows for a longer history of data to be stored. If using 4k I would definitely suggest picking up additional storage, especially if you plan on expanding cameras to utilize all 8 channels (this unit ships with 4) as that will certainly fill up the 1TB drive in no time. Tracking worked great, day/night, and the alarm (spotlight/red/blue emergency lights) startled me the first time I tripped them to test out the system, and I was expecting them to go off. Could only imagine if you weren't expecting it! Easy recommendation for anyone looking to protect/monitor their property.
