I wasn’t initially sure what to expect with this camera system but I was disappointed when I received it to find that it was super difficult to set the system up because of the cords. It came with one tracker camera which was wireless and exactly what I was looking for, and then 4 other cameras that are wired to a central box which can be connected to a TV or monitor for viewing purposes. The tracker camera is phenomenal - the resolution is much clearer than I expected and the recordings play back smoothly with perfectly clear volume. The library of recordings is easy to navigate. The motion sensor is one that I’ve had trouble with though, as it triggers an alert and recording every time my dogs walk into the picture. I haven’t yet figured out if I am able to adjust the sensitivity. The wired cameras also have a great picture, very clear resolution and excellent volume. However, the first night that the system was hooked up one of the wired cameras had lights come on and I was unable to figure out how to get them to turn off. We haven’t been able to use that particular camera again because the lights are still on. Setup of the system was very simple but took a lot of time and effort which I was definitely not fond of. Connecting the wired cameras and getting them mounted around the house was quite the process, but once they were set up the ability to see every room in our house from our living room was actually pretty cool. We put a camera in our front window looking outside and can see all the way to the end of our street where the school bus stop is, so when my son starts riding the bus home from school we will be able to see him as he walks. Overall this would be a great system for someone who has a larger home or feels the need for intense coverage. It is too much of a system for our small place, but the tracker camera is super convenient and will be sticking around permanently.

The Swann 8 Channel Enforcer Camera System is the perfect security camera system for just about any single family home or small business; from small to large. This system comes with four cameras, but has the capacity to add an additional four cameras if needed. It affords you an opportunity to keep an eye on the outside of your home and also includes a Wifi auto tracking camera for the inside of your home as well. You will be able to keep an eye on your home while you are at home and away from home so that you can always feel safe that your home or business is protected. If you see someone that shouldn’t be near, you can utilize the bright LED light or use the flashing red and blue lights that flicker just like when the police are present. I’ve had my Swann Security Camera system for just about a week now. It arrived to my home securely and well packaged with no items missing or damaged. I found it very easy to locate everything I needed to get started right away. The start-up guides are clearly labeled by color and are easy to identify as they are labeled first and second for startup and installation. There are separate guides for IOS and Android. Swann provides ample security stickers in English and two other languages Spanish & French to be placed in your windows, on doors and or posts; this is great for letting would be thieves know that your establishment is under survellence. In many instances these act as a deterence and stops a problem before it happens. I was pleased to see that everything I needed to get my system set up and running was included in the box. No need to buy additional wires, cables, or data storage cards. An HDMI cable and a USB antenna is included as well. The DVR is nice and compact with a simplistic design. Every input and output on the DVR has a purpose and is easy to locate and understand. The installation and set up was extremely easy. Although I read the guide before I got started, I followed along with the step by step guide so that I wouldn’t mess a step. The Swann Security Camera is easy to setup and even easier to use. The only thing that may require assistance is running the wires throughout your house or business. I downloaded the app on my cell phone and connected my camera system. I was able to test all of the features and they all worked the first time without issues. The alarm with the red and blue lights are a great feature. It’s sure to make any unsuspecting thief run far, far away. The cameras track movement and sends you a snapshot so that you’re able to determine if you need to further investigate. If you’re in the market for a camera security system, this is one of the most affordable, and one of the least complicated systems that you can find. It is also very user-friendly. The price is so affordable that I am considering adding an additional four cameras to maximize my surveillance coverage.

The Swann surveillance system is easy to use with intuitive control options, motion and heat detection (which is really cool) and crystal clear night vision. I really appreciate the microSD card support, as it makes managing the security data extremely easy. Now I can archive footage if needed, or simply overwrite the footage if there is no reason to be concerned. My other favorite feature is using the mobile app to monitor and review footage even when you are away from home. Now you can make sure your home and love ones are safe when you are away. The 1TB storage ensures you have days of available capacity for your surveillance footage. The motion detection is a really neat feature! Especially for areas that should not have unexplained movement like the back yard. The setup is not that bad. Depending on the location of your cameras, you may have some difficulty hiding the wires. However, it's not extremely difficult. Once the cameras are in place and connected to the system everything else simple. Navigating the menu is easy. Overall the Swann - Enforcer 8-Channel, 4-Camera Indoor/Outdoor Wired 1080p 1TB DVR Surveillance System with Wifi Tracking Camera/Antenna is awesome! I highly recommend it. Or, if you want enhanced video quality go for the 4k edition.

I love the cameras and will go into swann 8 channel but first and foremost... Be very careful don’t do what I did! I set up and a plugged into a 4K TV and everything worked great as far as the DVR and cameras... This was more for the resolution in viewing menus etc on the tv... Then when I decided to move the DVR to a 1080P computer screen I got a video not supported message... moved it back to the 4K tv and had the same issue. Long story short PLEASE make sure you change from 4K to 1080P before making the switch... It’s not a major issue as the fix for it is using a vga to hdmi connection to change back to the right mode... Now as far as the camera’s amazing clarity and they work flawlessly. The installation was a breeze. You scan the code, and app guides you through it. Swann app is great as well! My favorite part is the indoor or outdoor tracker cam. 180 degree view which covers the whole back yard and zoomed in to track people etc. the cameras work great especially if your ok with spotlights as they illuminate the whole area. Thanks to this great camera I saved money by canceling my subscription that my other camera required. So in conclusion easy to install, great quality and saves you money over time...

Junk never worked right even phone app sucks will never buy again.

I was mad that they sent only the dvr. Not one camera. 2 times this happened.

When shopping for a security system these days, you want great cameras, a great hub, easy installation, great features, and ease of use. The Swann Enforcer checks all the boxes. All the components of the unit were packaged well and securely. (This is important because you don't want anything to be broken that may hamper the installation process) Installation difficulty on a scale from 1-10 (1 being easy and 10 being I should have hired someone) was about a 4. The installation guide was easy to follow. I placed all four of the cameras indoors for the review. I installed the wireless camera in the baby room. (Installation time was about 1.5 hours including camera mounting) Once the cameras were installed and connected to the hub and my 27 inch 4k monitor, it was time to test out the unit. I installed the app on my smartphone to try out some of the features which I'll discuss more in the review. The video quality of the cameras are top notch! Even when I used the cameras in the late evening, the video quality was still great. Low light conditions quality was great as well. The lights that are on the cameras are a nice touch. It's kind of weird seeing a blue and red light go off like police sirens, but it's there for those that want it I guess. The unit is wifi ready meaning you can use your smartphone to see what's going on where you set up the cameras. It's a great option to be able to monitor what is going on when you're away from your house. The cameras have a wide angle view which is nice so your view isn't limited. The unit is also smart home compatible. All in all, this is a great security system with lots of features, amazing video quality, and easy installation.

Let me just start out by saying that I am not very handy. I have more luck with tech then I do with installs or fixing stuff. That being said I wanted to try to install this system myself. Me and my wife were able to install the cameras and have them working on the tv in about 3 hours. The install was as simple as finding a place to run the wires from outside to in. We went with a similar spot near a hole that was already drilled from our cable tv. We drilled and ran the cable through the basement and came back up to the room where the DVR box is set up. After mounting the cameras (which was as easy as lining up and screwing down the base) we now have a working system that records in crystal clear hd. The wireless camera was very simple to set up. The setup from the DVR box to the tv was seamless. The settings on the DVR box are easy to navigate with lots of features such as turning on a light or siren, which can also be triggered by the motion sensor. We also downloaded the app on our phones and now can keep an eye on our packages and the dogs while at work. Overall I am very happy with the capabilities of this system.

This system is one of the best wired systems I seen. Install was as easy as any wired system Systems connected without problem and access through the app works everytim. The footprint of the system and cameras area exceptional for something with this level of features. The resolution of the cameras are great even in night mode. Great system would highly recommend.

I really liked this tracker camera. Many features for less money. I really fell it is worth, if you are interested buy security camera/s system go for it you will enjoy it. This works with Amazon and Google assist. Free local recording! You do not need cloud recordings. Each camera comes with internal microSD card which records or store pictures which is really good. This works on Wifi connection but you need to plug power card to make this work. This is an auto tracker security camera which means it detects objects and track the object and zoom in. This a two way talk camera. You can access and view the video or live from your app. I really liked the design and shape of the camera very slick and flexible to place at any direction or angle. Box comes with mounting screws as well. It has wide angle view which is really good so that it covers max area. It sends out notifications for motion detection. Security stickers and guide are part of the package. I liked it. I feel it is a worth buy. I hope my review helps you to make your decision :).

I have installed both BNC security systems, wireless security systems and Poe security systems. BNC are a pain for the initial running and routing of the wires but since I had my old BNC system, I just fished the Swann cables though those holes and voila cameras mounted and good to go. I did have to use two of my own installed 100 foot BNC cables as the Swann cables are only 60 feet long. Once I got my cameras mounted and cables into them, all mounted outdoors. I then set up the DVR to my 1080P tv and that was easy using the code and scanning them. So the 1080P clarity is great of course but used to that but wow color night vision...that is sweet! The ability to have flashing lights and spotlight and WiFi tracking is all new to me. These are great features and useful to help deter potential package stealers and would be robbers. I like the the software, the app and the tracking is off the chart fun to utilize. Set up was pretty easy especially since I had pre drilled holes from my old system.

This is my first Swann product and I am very impressed. Installation can be very laborous but very rewarding once completed. The hard drive has capacity for up to 8 wired cameras and even includes an optical mouse to navigate the hard drive with. Hooking up to a tv or monitor via hdmi is a very smooth process but setup can be a little confusing at first. There a lot of buttons and options and different menus, but after playing around with it for a while after all of the cameras are set up, it becomes very easy to use. It is great to see a security setup with so many options in the menus. The installation is pretty straight forward. You are supplied a generous length of wiring for each camera and it is easy to connect. I would definitely recommend a professional installation though, which this package offers an installation service. There are also plenty of swann security stickers to put around the house to let people know they are being recorded. The cameras have a built in led flood light and also little red and blue flashing lights and siren, which can be activated on demand or when motion is detected. The quality of the cameras appear to be very well constructed and are overall pretty light. They have a rotating base so it gives some options for mounting. The wifi auto tracking camera works very well but needs to be in close proximity of an outlet or extension cord because the power cord is not that long overall. Accessing the camera through the Swann app is easy and again there are many options for setting up your camera. The video quality on all of the cameras is very good and streams are very clear. They record in 1080p, but I can easily make out facial features and other details. For the price, it is very hard to beat a security camera setup of this grade. Its ease of use after initial set up and easy installation (minus running the wires through walls if you go that route) make this camera set up a must have. Would definitely recommend.

The Swann security systems provide home safety at a great cost. This system brings four wired cameras and a WiFi camera in the packaging with the simplest instructions I've seen. Each of the wired cameras comes with its own 60ft cable that hooks up to the DVR box. The system itself and the app are very easy to learn and navigate. The installation was also a breeze. All you need to do is hook it up to a TV using an HDMI cable, connect it to a router, connect the cameras and you're good to go. The hardest part in my opinion will be finding a good placement for the cameras and running the wires. The video quality of the cameras is very good and will get the job done even at night. The cameras itself are very well built and can be used in the exterior placement of your property. They are also equipped with plenty of features like night vision in color, spot light, siren and even red and blue lights that will act as a deterrent when detecting motion. The DVR box comes with plenty of space 1TB for local video storing. Live view and recording can be accessed on the go using the mobile app. If you're into the smart home this will work with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. These cameras are definitely what you need if you're on a budget and want to keep your family safe. With all the types of features you get with this security system at this price range it is definitely a great buy.

No night vision just a small led light that stays on with default settings or set to come on when triggered. It has a nice picture and u can control it manually to take pics or video. Not being able to see anything at night without the light on isn't a great camera system.

First off, the 4 cameras that come with this system are wired. As the space I was installing in was relatively easy to get all the wires placed, this wasn’t as big a deal as I was expecting. Installed in the shop with the cameras outside. The system does a good job of detecting movement and seems to do a good job with the recordings. It’s very easy to get it all started and view everything on my phone, including downloading the videos that I want to keep. It will be a little easier if you have a keyboard to plug into the DVR. The wireless camera may or may not be viewable on the DVR... I didn’t try, but it can be seen through the app. This little beast has a very wide viewing angle and Will show a zoomed in view of the motion detected... it’s my favorite of the bunch. Everything was very easy to start using, although it took a little time to find all the settings I wanted for the LEDs and stuff to work the way I wanted, but that’s a one time thing.

I should have paid more attention, I thought this was wireless. Just so you know, only one camera is wireless and the rest are hard wired. Needless to say my husband who already works 60 plus hours a week was not thrilled with me when we opened this box. It took him many days to install because of work. By the time he gets home you only have so many minutes of light. He usually ends up working on Saturdays so it really cut down on time to install. Once he got this system installed it's really nice. The camera's night vision is a plus and heat detection, you can have lights and a siren triggered. I feel much safer having this installed, so many wonderful features. We have it hooked to our phones and our monitor. We are happy to have this now. This is a very quality system, great features and protection for us.

The 4 hard wired cameras that come in this pack are awesome. They are plastic, but awesome. The quality of the video is top notch, app integration is easy. If you are looking at this DVR and camera setup you already know you need cabling to each camera. The biggest downside to the package is the wifi based 5th camera in the set. I find that it is awful at actually activating, allowing remote viewing, etc. This is not a wifi issue per se, but an issue with the camera. In fact, when it is working the camera will say it has a wifi strength between 93-95 out of 100 and will still intermediately cut out. If you look at the Swann app in the App Store (Swann Security) it has a 1.8 star review with over 500 ratings. There are almost no complaints about the dvr and hard wired cameras and almost exclusively about the disconnecting/reconnecting wifi cameras. Swann did good on the core setup, but missed with the extra frills.

The Swann Enforcer camera system is amazing. Since it utilizes heat signatures, I now get far fewer false positives, which is great since I get notifications on my phone when movement (with a heat signature) is detected. While this set is easy to setup, it is not wireless, so for those of you trying to install in difficult areas, or areas that can't be wired, these won't work for you. Otherwise, these are ideal.

I did a lot of research and these were one of the best for features.
