Video Great. Online Connectivity Impossible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Swann is easy to physically set up if you just want video into a DVR and export with a USB stick. For that I recommend. If you want to view online I'd stay away. We could not install the Viewer Plus or the Link System. The Viewer Plus hung up on a registry problem (vcredist_x86.exe) on latest Windows version and the Link System failed the Symantec Check for "reputation." The manual states all you have to do is scan their QR code and video will appear. Frustrating. After multiple attempts to Forward Ports to allow video traffic through I'm taking it back. You better be a LAN expert.

Terrible product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought 2 days ago. Opened it tonight, to simply test the app with one camera. First lcd tv, no picture. 2nd lcd tv, no picture. 3rd tv, no picture. Went and retrieved the hdmi cable from my xbox one which is used daily. Tried all three tvs. No picture. Nothing. Tried another hdmi cable. No picture. Taking entire system back tomorrow morning. If I exchange it, I'll need to see it operate 1st. Lots of hype from the salesman who "specialized" in these. But I think it was just to get it sold based off other reviews. Not pleased. 500$ for no picture.

Run Forest Run!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The system is probably OK. If you have a monitor and a mouse on the DVR it all works fine. Love the email and line cross line feature. The windows interface is garbage! This is my third system (first Swann) I use the windows interface to run the system. This is unstable at best. Com errors until you restart the software then it oK for a bit. I run Win 7 pro. Maybe it works better on newer versions. Its going back. Thank god my old cameras were compatible and I didn't mount them all. Still wasted 5 hours of my life. Can't comment on image quality. I never got anything to download to my computer.

They take the money and run and their products are mediocre at best. Just about impossible to have them answer a phone or e-mail. Product quality eaves much to be desired as well
