Having owned the first release switch since mid 2019 (before even the new model came out with the updated battery life) the OLED is a game changer!! On top of the custom graphics matching the new Zelda aesthetic beautifully, the OLED screen makes playing games feel brand new! The colors and screen size go a long way in making an amazing experience overall.

    The Best Special Edition Switch!

This is one of the best Switch designs by far, if not THE best. I honestly want to buy another one just to have on display. The joycons LOOK premium. The gold on the front makes it feel like you're truly playing with power (not paid by Nintendo, I swear). The design on the dock itself is probably the best and cleanest I've ever seen. Not to mention how it has an integrated ethernet port, erasing the need to buy a seperate adapter. And when the switch is docked, it's *chef's kiss*. The subtle circular design on the back is pretty simple and nice, and I'm honestly glad they actually worked on the Switch's base itself for once, since that doesn't often happen. Having a dynamic kickstand is also friggin' sick. As for the screen, I've always felt like OLED Switches in general are the kind of thing you have to hold and play yourself to truly feel the difference between that and the regular kind— the difference being that the screen is bigger and better. Most people would shrug it off because its only "brighter" and only "slightly bigger", but when you have the handheld so close to your face, it really makes the difference— so much so that it's difficult to go back to a normal Switch.

Going from a launch Switch to an OLED is a breath of fresh air. As a primarily handheld player the improved screen, kickstand, and battery life have been very welcome. The limited edition design is amazing to look at, particularly the front of the dock. If you are a die-hard Zelda fan it is an easy choice for an upgraded or a first time Switch.

Just in time for the newest Zelda game, Nintendo drops the best looking Switch console yet! Perfect for fans, collectors, and people just looking to upgrade an older switch model (and battery life). The OLED screen makes all your Switch games look better than before and is definitely worth the purchase. Unfortunately no game included.

Coming from a standard Nintendo Switch to the Oled i can see how vibrant and better it looks. The screen size isnt much bigger but the battery life does seem to last longer. The design, beautiful and feels real nice to hold. No issues on joycon drifting so far. A nice addtion to the collection.

Overral its design is very beatifull in my opinion is the best edition, also became my favorite console. I alredy have the original nintendo switch and would recommed to upgrade to the OLED because of the screen is more vivid, has greater storage and battery.

Overall an amazing design, well built, and beautiful Switch. Huge upgrade from the original Switch. The OLED screen is amazing and great for handheld mode. The variable position kickstand is so much better as well. Actually useable with the kickstand. Highly recommend to anyone considering it.

This console is absolutely beautiful! The colors and design of everything included is top-notch. The OLED screen is also fantastic. The only downside is the comfortably of extended use in handheld mode, if you have even slightly larger hands (easily solved by purchasing an aftermarket grip).

So I only have one gripe about these special edition Switches and it’s that they don’t come with the game but I get it came out like a week or two before the game released. If you don’t own a Switch or if your looking to upgrade from the original version of the switch do it I had the second version switch and upgraded to this one while I didn’t need to I did because I wanted the OLED but man this is probably the most beautiful Switch I’ve ever seen the pictures online don’t do it justice you have to see a video lol the dock is very beautiful as well my only issue with the Switch is the back of the Joy-Cons are white that’s my only issue with it the best part about it might be the kick stand is 1000% better than the original and version 2 of the switch this was my first Legend Of Zelda Console and I’m glad I got it because I know Zelda things become rare to find also the screen is a little bit bigger than the regular switch I believe the regular is 6.6 inch and the OLED is 7 inches

Gorgeous console. Joysticks are a bit small. Needs more storage. I do hope the next game is more like Ocarina, TP or Windwaker. You get these massive playgrounds which are great fun but they start feel samey. Zelda games are supposed to be full of character and about exploration. If I can guess that whats around the corner is another seed, korok or a specific type of quest then that deafeats the exploration.

This is the very first Nintendo switch I have ever bought and I think it’s absolutely amazing and a very beautiful handheld. The Nintendo games are the best for anyone who group up in the 90s. The games bring back so many memories from my child hood. The Nintendo subscription is very cheap also 20$ for minimum or 50$ for everything which I recommend you get all the classics. The switch feels very durable and the oled screen is beautiful if you have never had a switch before I recommend buying this especially if you have a wife,it allows you to play classic games together that anyone can play at any skill level. The kingdom of tears edition is also perfect for collectors or Zelda fans in general I couldn’t recommend this anymore it’s a must buy. Though if you have big hands like i do I recommend getting a pro controller it really helps and it’s awesome when hooked up to your tv.

Very cool OLED special edition with nice colors and designs. If you haven’t upgraded to the OLED model yet, I highly recommend. Only complaint here is it doesn’t come with the game, but that is another discussion. Overall looks good and functions great.

This ToTK switch is beautiful! The white is pearlescent and the gold detailing is stunning. I upgraded to the OLED model after having my og switch from launch day. The kickstand is now wider as it takes the whole lower back half instead of a small inch wide stand. The speakers are noticably louder, the OLED screen is gorgeous and vibrant, touch response is great, joycons are stiff and click into place nicely. The new OLED docks have a depressed USBC port unlike the original. The textures printed into this edition feel great in the hand and help with grip in your hands. Overall I am incredibly happy with this new switch! I cannot wait to play ToTK on 5/12!!

I had the animal crossing switch and as a big Zelda fan I had to get this one. The OLED is a big improvement from the original switch. I love the bigger and vibrant screen. The gold and screen together is beautiful ! Get it if you can :))

I had been waiting since Breath of the Wild came out in 2017 for there to be a Zelda-themed Switch. When I saw this one was revealed, I pre-ordered it immediately. After having it for almost a month now, it is one of the most beautiful special edition Switches I've ever seen, let alone hold in my hands. The gold Joy-Con with their respective white and green accents look amazing in real life, as well as the white Dock emblazoned with the various Zelda iconography. The OLED screen also looks crisp and vibrant. Definitely worth the pick up if you're a Zelda fan looking to upgrade from an original Switch (especially if you owned a 2017 launch day Switch like me, haha). Overall, this Switch is great and looks so good next to the Skyward Sword themed Joy-Con too.

Design is amazing. Screen in larger and games look more colorful. If you have an orfinal switch and play on the go alot. Definitely upgrade! You will have no issues seeing your screen in the sun like the older model.

Came from v2 switch and the OLED screen is worth the upgrade. I like playing off dock most of the time and having the larger crispy screen is very nice. And obviously the zelda design on this model is great.

I've been using the OLED Switch for a few months now. Switching from the TV to the console and the difference between the OLED Switch and the normal is astounding. Taking a game like breath of the wild when you're in the depths. A game that isn't really trying to be scary at all. When using the OLED switch I found the depths to be pretty suspenseful. You can see ALMOST nothing when trying to find the bulbs. Putting the two home screens from the OLED to normal you can immediately tell you're going to have a better experience. It certainly was in my case. The skin for this edition of the OLED is pretty cool! For essentially $20 more to the cost of the normal OLED is worth it in my opinion when you consider you don't have to worry about messing up your skins trying to put them on if you bought them from somewhere like Amazon. I've always bought a triforce case for my old switch a while ago. It was also $20. not to mention you get a skin for the front of the dock as well which looks AWESOME! So I'd say it's fine deal. One thing I found pretty weird was that the switch didn't come with the game. Normally when they laugh a special edition console it comes with the game? At least in every special edition console I've bought before. If you're on the fence about buying the game because of that. Don't be. ITS WORTH IT! Even at the price bump I'd call TOTK worth it. I do not mind paying more if the game is as good as that. (that could be rose tinted glasses as I have a lot of nostalgia for Zelda as it was my first game essentially) Overall I'm glad I upgraded. I'm only wishing I'd done it when the OLED launched so I couldve done my first playthrough of Dread on it.
