Disappointing for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected more. Especially when looking at all of the 5-star reviews. I had a different brand that played on DVDs for many years and the picture quality for such a small unit was amazing. I expected to see the same with Blurays in this unit. Unfortunately, the picture quality is quite horrible. Unfortunately, it is not a defective unit. They are all like this. Dark scenes or scenes with a lot of darker blues and grays look horrible and pixelated. The sound is bad as well. The unit has to be turned up about 3/4 of the way to hear everything without headphones. It also feel cheap. My much smaller DVD player was 3x the weight. Perhaps that is because the parts in it were not all cheap plastic and it was truly well-made. I was really excited about this. By the time I removed it from the box and actually used it, it was well past the return period and now it just collects dust.
