Like it picture is better than the first generation but this one has more bugs in it. Hopefully there will be more updates. Over the air broadcast is more stable. But the free extra channels are buggy.

Once I got used to a new way of navigating, it deserved a five-star rating. I also had to buy the fire stick because my TV didn't have Tablo included in the APPs list. The TV must be one of the earliest smart TVs.

If you have a good to medium antenna this product is for you to avoid paying for cable. Lots of channels and free recording.

Works great. Older models would shut off every few days. This newer model has fixed this issue and it has been working non stop since purchase. Very happy.

I really, really like this device, but... the software for streaming for Roku and FireTV is kludgy. Sometimes to change channels I need to shut the app down, once I even had to reboot my Roku box. I also think the tuner isn't very sensitive. If you don't have an extremely strong signal, it won't recognize the channel. I guess I had to wrangle it into submission, but it suits my situation and has worked well since I got it all figured out. I put an old 2tb drive on it and it does DVR really well and it's nice to be able to back up or pause a live broadcast. I also bought a SiliconDust but I took it back and kept the tablo.

Works ok if you need in house streaming to mobile devices. Does not go to a PC, however, does work with Firestick. Has connection issues occasionally and initial setup isn't the easiest. Cannot connect to it outside the house.

It seems to work well. Sometimes when the app boots up it doesn’t like to load and i have to hit the back button for it to load. Definitely use an external hard drive, it increases the quality of the recording.

I love this thing! Compared to some of the negative reviews, I can only guess that they've made software improvements or that it depends on the equipment you're streaming with. This connected immediately to wifi and has worked flawlessly for me. It's remarkable to be able to browse guides for antenna channels and set series recordings the same as a traditional DVR on cable. I added an external 5TB drive and I can record almost 1000 hours if I want. And no monthly fees. The app for Nvidia Shield connects beautifully with no cords. I can fast forward commercials. With a good antenna, this thing is amazing!

Great little box - easy set-up for me. Was concerned initially with reviews and issues indicated on some Reddit threads, but so far experience for me has been good. I should note that I do live in an area where i receive great OTA channel strength. Am using a 60-mile Best Buy Insignia thin antenna.

It works great for a while, but then it freezes up. Sometimes just the picture freezes, but not sound. Other times the whole thing just crashes and I have to leave the channel and go back to it, or leave the app entirely. This is quite a nuisance and has led us to not use it so much. Hopefully, it resolves after some software updates, but it hasn't been the savior I wanted it to be from pricey streaming services.

Gave up the ghost after 14 months--just past warranty. Throughout the year that we had it, I frequently had to troubleshoot issues. It stopped working altogether on one of our T.V.s. To replace it, I bought a refurbished unit off Amazon for $70; there just aren't a lot of reasonably priced OTA devices. If the refurbished unit lasts a year, I'll consider it the price of cord-cutting, eh? Seems like less trouble than running the coaxial cable from my antenna to my two T.V.s, but I might consider doing just exactly that in the future.

Use to have a TIVO which screws you with a subscription fee to use it. I love that this provides recording and programming grids for free. This is part of my cable cutting, since we use it to record mostly OTA programming.

So far, we've loved this little thing. We were able to eliminate one of our digital antennas after installing it, since it'll send a signal to all our tv's. Picture and sound quality are just like over the air. App has worked perfectly. One time in a month the thing hung up, so I used the reset button on the bottom and we were back in business in 30 seconds.

This product is not very good. It could be excellent if they could fix the glitching from antenna reception. I've got a top notch antenna and still...

It would not work for me.. I was trying an antenna ,but didn’t work. So returned wit no problem. It works for some, just not for me

This unit does a good job of streaming the TV signal to your TV via the Tablo 4 generation app. The unit requires a strong signal to prevent the stream from timing out. There is a built-in signal amp, but only 10 dB, I need to add a signal booster with my good antenna. I am in a rural area, so this would not be a problem closer to the transmiting antenna.

I love Tablo! Combined with a digital antenna I can watch record and enjoy local television without selling a kidney.

This is an excellent device if you use an antenna. I am finally able to access my antenna channels via Roku, which makes it much easier and much more visually pleasing. Plus, I’m able to record shows.

Tablo is a wonderful product! My favorite feature is “live rewind” while watching a show. Also the capacity for recording holds my weekly programs, plus baseball, football and basketball games. It’s easy to schedule a series and record new episodes only or reruns for the season. I keep some to re-watch or delete to make room for next weeks shows. Tablo will delete to make room too. I never miss episodes of The Price Is Right!

Works great. Easy to set up. I enjoy having the ability to set recordings from my phone. Fast forward through commercials works great. Good tv guide built into app. Very good addition to my tv experience.
