Simple set up, connect to your home network in the app. Connect to an antenna that is placed in the home for best reception of the most over the air channels in your metro area. The app will help with directional placement when zip code is entered. Highest place in the home is usually best. Scan for channels in the app. If your results are not satisfactory, redirect the antenna and rescan until you are able to get the most channels in your area. Download the Blue tablo app to your streaming devices, and start watching TV. I very impressed with the wifi streaming quality of the device, but ended up hard wiring to the home network with an ethernet cable. The fact that it has wifi capability, means you can set it up wherever in the home you get the best antenna signal. The DVR functions very well, and you get some extra streaming channels from Tablo as well. I waited for the 4 tuner version to come out because we like to use our DVR. For less than the price of one month’s satellite service, I have cut the cord and saved myself over 2 thousand dollars for the year! I highly recommend the new Table 4 tuner with DVR to anyone who would like to do the same.

The service is really good if you can get it working. I had a heck of a torrid time getting the network setup on this. It's got a wired network and I can see the device in my router, but it insists on using the wireless network and I never got the 4 tuner Tablo to work. Actually I did get it connected once, but then it wouldn't download any OTA channels. Just the streaming ones that I don't care about. Good hardware. Abysmal software.

Good over the air DVR. I have the original generation and it has less bugs and you can pay to get rid of commercials. This generation tends to close the app on Roku when you are watching with closed caption on or on replay. It has to be turned off. That is there solution but I'm hoping an update will take care of it. The menu isn't user friendly when the older model is. But, it still has advantages. No cost for a 2 week Tv Guide to see what is on and for scheduling recording. Get the 4 tuner, it is worth the difference. If you watch over the air TV, this is great!

Works good. Records live TV. As long as you have a good antenna with it. I paid $100 for YouTube TV and this is free so yes much better since I mainly watched the four local channels.

The newer technology in this 4th Gen system sucks rocks. It hangs so many times in different situations that I have given up on using it. Support is overseas and NOT skilled and the Back office is AWOL for tech support issues.

Setup took a couple of trys, but once it was setup it works great. Could use better usage instructions.

Cut cable can record live tv. Wish it just had options for live tv and showes over internet.

I never write reviews and this Tablo is terrible, i have tried two atennas with a roku and reception is spotty at best. Want to watch tv in a snow storm, nope. How about a rain storm, nope. Oh i got one how about a wind storm, that is a no. So unless you have perfect conditions you will not have a great connection. The app sometimes loads and if it does pray you do not have a playback error. Do youself a favor and avoid this product. Also there is no Apple TV app for the 4 gen.

It made watching antenna based TV easy across multiple TV’s. Much easier than working with Coax!

I have 4 TVs using Tablo but only one TV used at a time. It buffers to the point i need to either unplug the tv or the Tablo unit to reset it and try again.

Works as intended for OTA recording, provides quite a few internet channels for viewing

So far it works as well as the older model I had. I do like the added channels and extended antenna strength.

Great purchase. Not only am I able to view local channels, but Tablo allows me to tune in to options that I can't normally get with basic antenna .

Had the older 4 tuner unit. It always had glitches. The new one is different but still has glitches.

It was and excellent purchase. The app works on all our apply tvs in out home flawlessly.

This works great. I am on my way to cutting the cord, and I had been waiting to get this DVR. It finally came up on the deal of the day and I picked it up at a great price. It is easy to set up and get running, and works like a dream. Plug and play expandability too!

Great product, does not work with most of the smart tvs you will find at Bestbuy. NO Samsung or LG TVs will work. While this is not Tablo's fault, they have chosen to not provide an app which will work with these two brands. I really like the device, but this information should be at the top of the list at Bestbuy
