I love the concept of Tablo. My iOS app never got past 50% of setup. I called for support, and I was told my Tablo did connect to Wi-Fi, but I had to connect it to the Ethernet to complete the installation, then I could put it back on Wi-Fi. The guide is very helpful for antenna TV. It worked fine for a few days, I recorded my favorite shows, then I started receiving failed recordings. I kept getting “weak signal” messages on all channels, therefore, I could not view any channels. I reset it, moved the antenna, it worked fine for a few days. I have been repeating this cycle until I gave up. Two weeks have gone by with no channels to view and no programs being recorded. Today, I unplugged it for 15 minutes, reset it, then I updated the channel guide. Tablo is finally working again! Hopefully, it will continue to work, so I can fall in love with it. Until it works continually without the frustration, I cannot recommend it, but I remain hopeful.

This works wonderfully EXCEPT you can't view your recordings away from home. I have the older model still and I love it.

Fantastic over the air recorder. It also helps set up your antenna and results in better antenna reception than without the Tablo hooked up. Highly recommend! One services three of my TVs , each on different floor of my home, through an app on each TV.

As a longtime Tablo user or even enthusiast, I can't say that I'm pleased with this purchase. I've been using my 2-tuner legacy Tablo for years with little trouble, but I simply wanted to watch and record more TV simultaneously. This new Tablo sets up as easily as the last one and has free TV listings, but it's missing so many great features: I can't watch from my web browsers on my computers, the interface is bit clunkier and less responsive than the previous one, and I'm finding that it crashes a lot. The Roku that I watch it through just shows its home screen suddenly and I have to restart it. I understand how a new product release can be, and perhaps the makers of the Tablo have given us a minimum viable product and hope to have some bugs worked out with firmware upgrades doled out in future sprints from their dev teams, but all I can say is: disappointed.

I really like this product. It was easy to setup, and worked well. Antenna choice is important. But the device was cost effective and simple to use

We have been using this Tablo for over a month. It works on and off...pauses, locks up, goes back to guide, buffers, and have to reboot constantly. I think Tablo launched this too soon. Support keeps saying they are aware of the issues and are working on fixing them. Also, Samsung TVs are extremely popular and Tablo does not work on Samsung TVs (but Tablo says it is coming soon).

It was easy to set up. I can add the tablo app to my other devices and access my antenna channels. Works good. The guide layout is very nice

Surprised how good this box is! Over the air channels that typically fade in and out come in clearly and can be watched and used as a dvr. Shared with family and friends and fixing to grab another one for my son.

Get the 4 channel DVR I'm saving tons of $$ when I got rid of my cable DVR. This records over the air tv programs. It great to fast forward the tv commercials again

Love having a DVR for my OT TV channels. Make sure to get a good external Hard drive too. Gives better performance with storing and transmitting uncompressed video. Be aware that they dropped the remote viewing connection service so watch while you are at home only.

Works well but user interface is a bit clunky. Too many steps to navigate.

I wanted to see if we could live a life without cable. The past couple of years, we have downgraded Comcast to just basic cable and wanted to see if we could save more by just using terrestrial TV. I have to say after a week, the answer is yes. Is it more convenient to use Cable, yes. Is it worth the $50/month that we will save dropping cable TV, also yes. I use this with 2 Roku devices and they behave pretty well. The guide is not perfect, but I have been working with Tablo to get it fixed

I've waited to review the Tablo until I've had a while to get accustomed to it. Now that I've used it for over a month, I can honestly say it works well, and I'm able to watch live programs, schedule programs to be recorded, and, after I've watched the recorded programs, delete them from the external hard drive I purchased to accompany the Tablo, which was a one-time purchase and didn't cost a lot of money.

Overall this product does what I needed it to do. The product I was using previously was very glitchy and would sometimes really mess up recording my programs. I have noticed that the Tablo can be slow to respond, and occasionally will throw me out while watching a recording, but it is a simple matter to just go back in and pick up where I left off since it does resume playback.

It seems to work really well over the last 3 weeks, Setting it up was a little buggy. The instructions should clearly state that your phone has to be on the same network as the Tablo before you start the setup process, or you will lose the connection an must do a factory reset and start over.

Great product. Excellent streaming and recording. It also gave me access to over 110 channels.

Easy setup. Purchased on sale. No glitches for me.

Keeps losing connection. Had for one year and giving up on it. This happens all the time and after it was supposed to record important games? Going to the bin...

Did not pick up very well in my area so I had to return it.

We are in a slightly poor reception area, and this device is not very good under those conditions. It will record, but not be able to play programming back. Yet it will directly play current programming in fine shape.
