SO FAR THE TABLO HAS BEEN GREAT!!..WITH A VAST AMOUNT OF CHANNELS, MOVIES, TV AND ABLE TO RECORD OUR FAVES WE LOVE IT!!!

I cannot watch live tv as it keeps searching and ky recordings are for one minute and keep looping. Di not buy. Waste of $$$. Unfortunately i set mine up recently and can no longer return it which is extremely frustrating!! Pauses and keeps playing 30 second loop

Half the time won’t load tv guide. Have to reboot and relaunch. Does seem to record shows ok though. Then you can play it but then be prepared to reboot so you can reload guide. I have two of these on different antennas and both have same problem.

I am now disconnected from all cable! I am saving the cost of this item each month for just the one time cost to buy it. It was easy to install (I am not tech savvy) and I can still record my favorite programs

I was an early adopter of Tablo and owned their first generation model and virtually every model since then. This is by far their best, most versatile unit ever. It has all the features I need / want, and not having to pay for the online guide was just the icing on the cake. Recommended without reservation.

It’s a hunk of junk. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars buying external drives to record stuff that doesn’t work. Now, I can’t even get it to play channels directly from the antenna. I even went as far as buying a new antenna because I thought that was the issue. I’ve tried to reach out to TabloTV’s Customer Support, but they stink. They only send you links to stuff on their website; you can’t TALK TO ANYONE! I’ve now probably spent $1,000 on the Tablo, External Drives, and Antennas—for that $ $ $ $, I could have paid for cable for a year.

I purchased a 2 tuner and it works great, fast response. Bought the 4 tuner didn’t connect to network network or wifi, reset device still no response. Contacted tech support got a link to troubleshoot, something I already did, still no fix. Returned back to Best Buy.

Worked better then I expected more than met my expectations

This Tablo lasted 4. And 1/2 months not good! I have taken a picture of the product and it is plugged in , no light on Tablo.

If you need Apple TV client, it’s in beta and works well. That said the software overall needs to evolve and is a complete rework this generation. Don’t compare this to more complex options using Plex, this is a closed walled off garden but easy to setup and use which was what I was looking for. Reception is spectacular. I added a 5tb usb drive as well. There currently is no PC client, but you could use Android emulation if technical enough, though techies are not the target audience here. Remote device access is also missing but if you use a home VPN as I am it is flawless over the air. This device meets my needs to supplement Philip’s streaming service perfectly, getting all my local channels with DVR capabilities. The ability to also DVR the select internet streaming channels is really great as well. 4 stars and easily increased to 5 once the software bakes.

I’ve had a 4th Gen 4 tuner for almost two weeks now and have been putting through heavy usage and testing and recording on FireTV initially without an external drive and then with a 2TB external drive attached and I’ve recorded over 20+ sports games and over 180 TV shows/series and movies from OTA and streaming channels available free through Tablo and had only 1 movie failed to record but I attempted to record that movie at another scheduled time and it completed successfully. I expected this much recordings to take up way more than the 500GB of storage than these records have used so far which has also been a pleasant surprise. The 14 day free live guide has allowed me to schedule sports and shows days and weeks in advance and not worry if I forget about it and just check on it in my scheduled recordings list and wait till it shows up in my list of recently recorded. The quality of the sports, TV shows and movie recordings have been very good. I’ve also had 4 OTA recordings and 4 Streaming movies performing all at the same time for several hours and everything completed successfully and it’s nice that they make it clear when there are conflicts. Don’t know how many other DVRs can do that? Way to go Tablo! Considering this is a new product and there are going to be a shaking out which include issues that may show up along with a number of additional features I’m sure users will want, this is an excellent initial first step in my opinion. I’ve heard some users having issues on Roku which I don’t use or have and that Apple TV isn’t supported yet are things they are working hard on but I use on iPhone, fireTV, Samsung and Vizio TVs and it all works fine there. I would think Apple TV will be coming soon and hopefully whatever issues others may be having on Roku get resolved quickly. Although I haven’t needed support yet, this is one thing that I have heard needs improvement and although they do have a callback service, it can take a day or more to get that callback. I really like this tuner. It was a breeze to set up. It did ever for me. Told me what to do as I set it up and put on internet. The reception is great. I hooked it up to antenae and it brought in 145 channels. &2 were streaming. And the recording is excellent thus far. Need improvement on the looks of guide and how you advance the guide. And it need a better reverse and fast forward option. But for the price it is great.

I bought the Tablo to replace an old Channel Master that stopped working. The 4 channel was hard to find but Best Buy had me covered! The unit was easy to setup on my phone and FireSticks. The Tablo doesn't work directly with my Samsung or LG smart TV's. There is an App update coming to update that so I'll be able to use it without the FireStick. It's great to be able to view the TV guide, and schedule recordings, on either the TV or the Tablo phone app. The only issue so far is I haven't been able to get the the Tablo app on my wife's phone to connect so she can view the guide. All in all a great DVR for over the air TV.

I bought this because another over the air DVR brand ruined their DVR when they introduced a new version. So, I found Tablo, 4th gen. Works good. It took me a few tries to find an external USB SSD / NVME drive that would work with the Tablo. Don't use USB sticks. Old USB spinner drives won't work either. That is one reason the review is 4 stars. The other reason is the DVR can be a tad buggy. Sometimes recordings won't delete, but they will the next time you open the Tablo app. Note that you must have internet connectivity to this Tablo 4th Gen. Other than that, it works good for me.

This device was easy to set up, and it worked pretty much straight out of the box. I purchased a Crucial - X6 SE 2TB External USB-C/USB-A Portable SSD - Black to go along with it, and that drive formatted quickly. The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is really a Microsoft Windows 11 issue that has kept me from being able to get to my recordings on my PC. I'm sure I'll be able to get to them through an emulator, but that's pretty annoying.

Set up is easy except for one minor glitch. On the page where you have to hit next, which is right next to the terms and conditions link, they are so close together that it is impossible to select the correct one on smaller tablets and phone screens, if you have the accessibility magnifier on it makes them large enough that they are well separated. This will solve the problem. If you connect this machine through a Chromecast with Google TV, it is best never to let the Chromecast be turned off, because if it does turn off for several hours the Tablo will develop glitches that require it to be rebooted. Sometimes, the live TV schedule will not display a full two weeks, but it usually does. I have had two recordings that could not be watched. On one faulty recording, the sound and picture were not coordinated and of such poor quality that it was barely watchable, and after 6 minutes into the show, it simply would not go any farther. I know that the original transmission was fine. Because I recorded it on another mashane.. On the other recording That I could not play back, I simply got a message that the recording could not be decoded. There is a little bit of buffering occasionally when fast forwarding or reversing. I bought the four tuner Tablo to replace a three tuner system that I have had for seventeen years. My old system also has occasional glitches, so I'm certain I can tolerate a slight amount of imperfection. I'm giving this 5 stars because the price is so low. If this were a two hundred dollar system, I would only give it four stars. For comparison, my old three tuner system cost me a thousand dollars seventeen years ago.

Set up was simple. Interface is nice. Functions perfect on my phone. Great picture. Got through set up and discovered the connectivity for Samsung TV Plus is coming. Very disappointing. Bestbuy was gratious and let me return it. Go for it!
