I upgraded from the 4th gen 2 tuner so I can record the new season premiers. Problems with 4 tuner, which weren’t on the 2 tuner: when I watch a channel (Roku), the channel shuts down and you have to navigate to channel again; if you store on an external USB storage, you lose everything when you transfer to new Tablo; most annoying is that the upgrade caused me to lose all PBS channels, but (same antenna). ( in this case, Tablo told me to move the antenna around, an the issue is that the 4 tuner may have access issues. I even bought a new, more powerful antenna, and still couldn’t receive PNS. I guess no Nature shows. Finally, Best But had horrible customer service. Major problem getting my pre-ordered Tablo.

Will not stay connected to WIFI. Needs a reboot all most everyday.

Sometimes the sound and video aren’t in sync during playback. If you use closed captioning you sometimes get kicked out of the program you’re watching. Programs don’t always record in their entirety. Deleting a program doesn’t always work without exiting Tablo and returning to delete. If you can live with these occasional annoyances Tablo allows you to record over the air programs if you have really good reception and a tv provider like Roku.

Bought the Tablo for better reception on local stations, it did not work. I don’t get local stations at all.

Awesome Product. OTA TV with DVR recording. It works excellent. I've seen a couple of unfavorable reviews. These people don't have either a good over the air Antenna/Reception or their Internet/Lan is subpar! Because this produce works great!

Not sure how they are getting 4 or 5 star reviews. Unless the products are that quirky from one device to another. I am on my second one and as many here have described it, it is junk. It is absolutely frustrating. It is only getting worse over time. Was excited when they had a firmware update. That only made it function worse. Even the android app is about as randomly funtioning as flipping a coin. Not sure why the price is going up when they should be refunding their customers.

I got this to replace my older first gen. unit. It works as expected but the app still needs some work. There are features in the old app that aren't there in the new one or they don't work the same way. Over all good product and I would buy it again.

Tablo 4th Generation has a bug that the Tablo Team is working to fix. When changing channels, Tablo hangs up, and you have to back out to Roku Menu and restart Tablo to view new channel. I was told by Tablo that their Team is working on a Roku App Update. Not a big deal.

It's between 3 and a 4. It worked last night then this morning, nothing. Had to uninstall and re-install on my fire tv. Then i went to the channel guide and it said error. May be returning this. Can't really recommend at this time.

I would give this 5 stars but there’s a few bugs that Tablo needs to work out with Roku. I find periodically the Tablo kicks me out of a program I am watching only to allow me to select the TV guide channel and re-enter and continue watching.

I found the Tablo 4 tuner DVR to be good most of the time. The program will occasionally get stuck during setup. I recommend connecting the devices with wired connection if possible.

This has been great so far. Do yourself a favor and use ethernet and not wifi. Also, if you can get away with leaving the antenna amplification disabled, do it. I noticed an improvement in performance with it disabled.

We love it! We recently “cut the cord” therefor we no longer had a DVR now we do for regular network shows, and of course we can Fast Forward through commercials.

I bought this thing specifically for times when internet is down, I thought I'd be able to access recorded shows and the OTA but I can't even access the Tablo on my phone or the Roku

It will do everything my dish hopper will do. Pause, rewind, fast foward and record up to 4 showes at once.

This is a good option for cable cutters. You have to have wifi, because it connects to your tv through the router via the tablo app. It's just like a DVR for the free channels. All you have to do is plug the antenna into the tuner, and the tuner into the power outlet - and then you go through the guided setup in the tablo app. You can also add an external storage device.

The tablo works very well. Easy to set up. Not hard to use and good customer support.

I like it require a subscription for TV Guide, I don't like some of the changes from the previous Tablo.
