Very impressed with this so far. I've recorded four shows at once as a test, and all four looked and sounded great. Recordings are sharp and clear, and the program guide and interface are nice. Lots of options on how to record your shows -- new or all, can pick and choose start and stop times to make sure you don't miss any of the first or last of a show, can choose which channel or channels to record the show on. Setup was easy, and there have already been at least one firmware update.

Great price for a 4 tuner. Easy to setup through Roku stick. Can record and watch previous recorded shows at same time. TV guide easy to use. Better than my previous Channel Master OTA DVR

This is my 2nd 4th Gen Tablo. First one lived almost 2 years and then croaked suddenly, probably due to poor cooling these units have. Aside from that, the interface is usable and less cluttered than some streaming services. Tested with Roku Streambar+Ultra and Android devices. Unfortunately, ATSC 1.0 this unit supports is formally "on the way out" so this unit's function will end sooner than we think.

Very Good, Lacks: Remote Access, LG WebOS

Tablo is a great way to save money, save time and enjoy the programming you love -- at a time that's convenient to you. Set up is easy, reception is very good and the four tuners make fighting over programming a thing of the past. Two reasons for 4 not 5 stars: 1 - You cannot view your recordings away from your home Tablo. I knew this before purchase, but it still seems foolish user ransom baiting. 2 - Tablo is not yet available for LG's WebOS. I did not know this when I purchased it. So, I have to use another device, which in my case is a FireStick. Yes, it works but it's an extra step. The LG remote handles all this via ARC. Overall, I do endorse Tablo, but it can and I hope WILL get better.

Great product. Does get extremely hot to the touch. Better reception then standard tuner box on TV. Needs more Native support apps for more smart TVs. Needs Regular software updates not happening.

As long as you have a descent outside antenna, and get good reception, this is the best OTA DVR there is as far as I'm concerned. I suggest getting the 4 tuner version if you might record shows on at the same time. The video from a hard drive is exactly as broadcast. The menu alone is amazing! There have been some software glitches, but it's early, and updates will solve those glitches and add bells and whistles in the future. And they're adding streaming channels all the time. There were 60 when I got my Tablo, and now there's over 70. And to be able to watch on any TV in your home is amazing!

Well, where to start? Our TIVO finally died last April. We are not happy about this! We needed something to record the OTA TV we watch. We live right between Orlando and Tampa, so we get over 120 stations. Yes, many duplicate stations but the networks and a few of the locals show different football games. A DVR is a must! The problem is TABLO is not a TIVO! It is a piece of "JUNK"! We had it hooked up a little over two months. It worked kind of well. A few restarts every week or so would get it back to where it was supposed to be. Then three days ago it just died. It is one big, white, hockey puck! Do not bother with Cust. Service, they do not even write you back. We knew we were taking a chance when we bought the TABLO. The reviews are not the greatest. They do not make the TIVO anymore and we really miss it! I would not recommend this device and that is that!

As others have said, it can be a little sluggish at times and occasionally you have to exit and restart it. For the most part it work excellent. Got it for my parents and it gives them the same channels and recording options they were using through cable.

The Tablo is easy to use for basic TV, and very basic compared to my old TIVO. As the DVR does not include commercial skip, and the guide does not have the jump to the next day function (which is helpful when just reviewing Prime Time programming.

It works....but software still has bugs that customer service doesn't seem to care to address. I have reported 3 issues with the new Tablo software as it runs on Google Chromecast. 1) Volume on playback can play back softer and mono until you pause the playback and hit play again. then you get full sounds and surround sound 2) If you don't fully exit Tablo through the confirmation screen, Tablo will lock out all audio on Chromecast apps. You can't just hit the Home button and move to another app like all the other ones. If you forget to exit, then no sound. you have to go back into Tablo and go through the exit steps before it will release the audio 3) Decoding errors on playback. this can sometimes be from weak signal but it's more consistent and on our strongest channels. You must hit retry about 3 times before the recording will start I have spent weeks reporting these and the level of customer service has been horrible. I get responses but they are canned response that relate to the issue or not at all. One time they told me to update my Chrome web browser...ummm what??? Most times they tell me to uninstall and reinstall the app. I tell them I did and then they want me to confirm again. it's an endless loop. I gave up and just hope they can fix some of these issues. I'm sure the Legacy version had some when it rolled out but by the time I became a Tablo user, they were resolved and it worked great. Come on Tablo...you have a good product but take the time to fix your customer service issues and make the product better.

Works great when a strong and consistent signal can be tuned in. The guide is well done and the DVR is very good. I wish the guide would default to the defined favorites list instead of having to select it each time. The navigation after watching or exiting a recording could also be better. The interface can be a bit slow

The DVR portion is a little disappointing because it won't let you start from the beginning if you turn on the program after it's already started recording , you have to wait until the recording is completed and then go back to start from the beginning!

I upgraded to the 4-tuner from the 2-turner so that I would no longer have conflicts on the days when there are more than two shows that I want to record. The Tablos are great, but I did have to get a surge protector to plug this one into as my previous on quit working right after multiple surges. The best part of recording my shows this way as opposed to streaming them is that I can fast forward thru the commercials and with the Tablo it will show you when you are fast forwarding.

Seems to be working as expected. Added a 1 TB hard drive, installed a new antenna, get 122 channels total. Records in good quality, have plenty of choices to chose from and saves me around $115.00 a month over cable.

I have been using Tablo for years. I absolutely love my older version. I am a little disjointed this new version doesn't allow remote viewing when your not at home anymore. Although they say they are working on it. That really would be the only thing I don't like about the new model. Otherwise it is excellent for recording multiple channels. oh wait. I also don't know if they are working on it or not, but the previous model would do commercial skip as well. Again though I love Tablo and it is really easy to setup and use. I never miss any shows.

The tablo is very good overall and nearly perfect. The things it needs are a fadter processor partickuarly for multiple tvs watching from seperate rooms. Also it needs an ability to schedule recordi gs remotly. Other than those things the tablo is great, it records awesome accomodates a larger external drive size than any other system i am aware of.

Great option for antenna tv viewing. Love that one connection gives you the ability to view on any tv or other streaming device what is running or recorded on Tableau through my home internet. Software is fairn but coukd use better fast forwarding and recording scheduling. Also access outside the home is needed.

Set up was so easy. Only took about 15 minutes and DVR ran channel scan and found 79 channels. Not counting the 30 or so streaming channels that they include with the DVR. Tablo put everything in a guide easy to understand easy to record and you can pick the channels you want to keep or the ones you want to delete. Would definitely recommend this for anybody that wants an over the air DVR.

I received the unit setup was straight forward and uneventful. One day my tablet started taking too long to load the Tablo home screen. I rebooted the unit. That seemed to fix the issue. A few days later i tried to sccess the Tablo and couldn't connect. Upon further examination I found that the unit was powered off. Nothing i did got the unit to power again. I returned the unit.

Replaced a Tivo. Easy setup. Gets a lot more stations with the same antenna. Works with multiple players but seems to work best with the Roku Ultra. Miss the auto skip on commercials but that's minor.
