Lots of lag, went through 2 units in less than a year. Cheapest option for OTA dvr

Installed latest update, however: Occasionally resets itself sometimes when trying to play a recorded movie. if you make selections too fast it resets itself. Some recorded programs get truncated at the end. Too frequently the live channel names disappear even though the channel content still shows. and it takes rescanning channels to make them show up again.

Previous Legacy quad owner. This unit is faster, guide is better. Layout is a little difficult to get used to especially for recordings. When it works, it works pretty darn good. But it doesn't keep working. When recording or watching ABC the Voice and Video are totally out of sync. This can be fixed very temporarily by rebooting. For me this is broadcast on 10.1, the other channels broadcast from same transmitter ie: 10.2, 10.3 etc work just fine. This signals to me that there is a Firmware programming error that others have reported. When playing back from a recording, not only will it be out of sync, but the screen will freeze after a few minutes, making it totally useless. Unit also gets very warm to the touch. Price is too high for the usable functionality. (These reception issues do not present themselves on any other device)

I have been very happy with this cord cutting TV DVR. I had the 3rd gen model too, but overall I like this one better. I can record all of the programs I get over-the-air, the signal seems good and it integrates very well with my Chrome Google TV device. Save a ton of money using over-the-air. We have a few service in addition, but this hits the spot just right.

It doesn’t always receive the wi-fi signal…if it did I’d rate it 5 stars

Works okay but needs more storage space; have to delete often. Sometime, for unknown reason, it doesn't record the program.

I was anxiously waiting for my Samsung TV to be added to the compatibility list. As soon as i saw it was I ordered the 4th generation 4 tuner unit from Best Buy. There are so many bugs in the software. I can’t use the rewind and fast forward options until they fix the bugs. It also freezes occasionally, I have a one second skip in the voice while watching live tv and I cannot setup any shows on the Fox network because if I swarch doe shows on Fox, the network doesn’t show up on the list but the Fox channels do show up om the guide. I will return it if the bugs aren’t fixed by my acceptable return date

My friend loves hers so we tried it. Returned. The power cord was faulty-would not work at all. It just so happens that I also purchased one for my mom. I took the power cord from her box and it worked fine. Then I tried for a week to gwt it to connect and never could. Returned both.

Works well. Able to record 4 programs at once. Wish it were easier to delete program as soon as we finish watching. Love being able to paise and back up as needed.

I am disappointed that I’ve had this for less 6 months and it’s already stopped working properly.

This tuner is great. It works seamlessly! The DVR is easy to use and the local streaming is awesome.

Not very happy with this item so far ive followed the instructions to the letter (several times) and i still have issues at first it worked ok but now i cant record and am having issues with connection i have verizon high speed internet and the blue tooth connection is less than 10 feet away tried rebooting many times but itn will freeze ???

Works well, I do find the online content annoying. It’s a DVR and Tablo should stick to that or at least add an option to turn online content off. Not had the opportunity to test it without internet, i.e. just home wifi. If that doesn’t work I’d give a 3 star rating.

It's a little glitchy but I love it. It's another fun hobby. Upgrading the antenna, finding a router it likes, tweaking the system. Searching for new shoes to watch, learning how to use it better. It's a lot of fun and it replaced $95 a month worth of other stuff.

I'm still up in the air about this. Haven't used it enough to decide if I like it or not. Not sure if it's my TV or the Tablo, but sometimes it just cranks in circles while watching local live TV. Sometimes it says it lost connection to the internet. Like I said, not sure if it is me or it.

We dropped cable couple months ago and we received the Tablo in time to watch the ball drop on New Years Eve and the parade New Years Day on regular channels. So far no issues with our Firestick but when try and watch on our Roku it booted out after 5 minutes. I hear they are working on fixing the problem between the two hopefully that will be soon. Right now have it hooked up to a cheap antenna and we are getting more channels than just antenna hooked up directly to tv that’s definitely a plus. We haven’t tried recording yet so can’t comment on that. We have one tv that we tried to hook an antenna up directly to but couldn’t get it to acknowledge it. We resolved that with using Tablo app on our Firestick or Roku to watch OTA channels. Nothing needs to be connected directly to tv. Tablo works using WIFI or can also hook up an Ethernet cable directly to Tablo. Once they resolve that Roku issue should be a great product.

I have had many issues with it, such as it crashing the ROKU, and dropping the signal. Causing problems with the recording of shows.
