Tablo User for 3+ years
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Much better than the 2nd generation for sure. We had a Quad 4 with a 2TB internal drive with tons of connection issues all the time. I do miss the remote access for travel with the old model though. As far as this latest gen there's still a few bugs; won't always delete the program and locks up needed a restart. Again, if you don't mind the occasional reset/reboot it's really nice to have versus expensive cable. We live in NE OK and get 38 OTA channels which is nice to record and watch later. Also this model has added a number of "streaming" channels to the offering which is a bonus. Overall I'd buy it again.

My switch to the new Roku Player!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Things I like: - operating on a Roku platform!!! Awesome! - builtin OTA Antenna Amplifier…. A stroke of genius!!! - crisp picture from OTA programming. - no additional costs. Buy it and that’s it! What I don’t like… - No more auto commercial skips. This must be done manually now. - long time to load from startup screen. - I’ve encounter some issues with buffering that I do not have with my older Tablo units

Tablo & Roku Ultra having issues.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the new 4-tuner Tablo, but it DOES have an issue with streaming on my Roku Ultra. Tablo and/or Roku NEED to make a firmware update to resolve this ongoing issue.

Not usable as a media server tuner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does what it's supposed to do, but I bought it specifically for media server integration. Turns out to not be compatible with Plex as a remote tuner. You can only use Tabo's software and it doesn't even run on Windows. Will probably resell mine. I already bought an HDHomeRun which does work with Plex Media Server.

Fantastic antenna reception recorder!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic over the air recorder. It also helps set up your antenna and results in better antenna reception than without the Tablo hooked up. Highly recommend! One services three of my TVs , each on different floor of my home, through an app on each TV.

Cut the cord!! Tablo is the only way to go!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Surprised how good this box is! Over the air channels that typically fade in and out come in clearly and can be watched and used as a dvr. Shared with family and friends and fixing to grab another one for my son.

Frustrating & Unpredictable
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you enjoy watching a loading circle on your screen, this product is for you. We connected tablow directly to our router, we have top, high speed internet. We raised our antenna with an amplifier. We can get everything great with just the antenna but once you hook it into Tablow, everything is degraded. Sometimes it works the way it should but everyday I get knocked out of a program or it will freeze up. Sometimes when turning on it asks me to register my new product because it doesn't recognize that it's already registered. I called cust serv, too late to return, they kept telling me to check wifi connection even though it was hardwired to the router. They had me re-register & I lost everything I had previously recorded. And no change in unpredictability.

Posted .Sorry, you've run into those frustrations, Ralph.
It's likely your smart TV is connected wirelessly, so this still might be a Wi-Fi issue between it and your router. If you look at our support page, we have some advice for troubleshooting such connections. You can also join our Tablo forum. The individuals there may be able to help. You can also contact us on our forums with your ticket number, and we can look deeper into the tickets you've logged with us.

Tablo
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the Tablo for 11 months and have been very impressed. Tablo had some issues the first few weeks getting the guide and channel information to match due to multiple state and broadcasters in my zipcode area.Tablo support did a good job. All in all for cutting the cable or dish, it’s the way to go.

Tablo OTA DVR 4 way.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great DVR for OTA recording local channel shows and way way less cost than cable subscription and rental fees monthly. Works well with my Hisense TV, but not with the Samsung.

Worth the $ to check it out!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After getting rid of Dish, we installed an indoor antenna for each of our tv's. We then bought a Tablo. We are in a rural area, so we get approximately 20 channels. Now we get many more. The actual picture quality is much better when using the Tablo and the digital breakup is nil. My wife has just started using the record option and we think it will foot the bill. We are saving over 200.00 per month.

Free tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works good. Records live TV. As long as you have a good antenna with it. I paid $100 for YouTube TV and this is free so yes much better since I mainly watched the four local channels.

Not fast or reliable
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 4 TVs using Tablo but only one TV used at a time. It buffers to the point i need to either unplug the tv or the Tablo unit to reset it and try again.

Posted .Hi Laura,
Sorry you've run into that issue.
Buffering problems are usually due to network interference. If your Tablo isn't connected to your router via Ethernet, we recommend doing so. If it is, or you need further troubleshooting, consider reaching out to our technical support team.
