(1) Wi-fi setup is tricky but is great once you get it working. (2) If the Tablo server in Canada goes down, you can't watch anything (even recordings) unless you have Roku. This second problem is the target of many complaints on Tablo's community forum and the company seems deaf to all requests to fix it. Just be aware of all this before you buy. I have no regrets because, at the time I purchased, TabloTV was the best option out there.

Works great! It seems to work better, connected to the router with network cable. I prefer to watch my ota stations directly while in the house, but this device is better for tablets and smart phones away from the house. Watching from the app on FireTV in the home is a bit laggy. I notice a little skip in the movement. This would be excellent for camping, or tailgaiting with a smartphone with unlimited data, a screanbeam mini, and a flatscreen.

This Tablo DVR works great and it enabled me to "cut the cord" from my cable provider.

We have tried ever OTA box, DVR, Streaming devices and there are glitches with all of them. As bad as I hated cable we went back to it. Prices are dropping. I would not recommend this for DVR service, but live was good to 1080.

I love this. I have AppleTVs and Rokus on all my TVs and no cable, but the football game my father-in-law wanted to watch was only on local channels during thanksgiving. I bought this, hooked it up to an antenna in the attic, setup the wifi, and we got local OTA on all of the TVs through the tablo app.

Pros: only requires one box, so can use on multiple TV’s, computers, etc (unlike TiVo which requires additional boxes) Cons: takes about 8 secs to load a channel. Have to purchase extended guide if you want to schedule recordings.

I really like the Tablo for recording TV shows through the antenna. I found it extremely easy to use and so far have been very pleased with this purchase.

Half the time it doesn't work. For that reason it is currently just sitting there. I have Directv Now and that also has local channels so I can record my favorite shows that are not shown on Hulu without their live tv account. I do have an antenna that works great for local channels, but does not have DVR.

Works great. Not thrilled with paying for the guide when cheaper tuners offer up a free guide, but if you pony up for the one time fee, it's not bad. The key is a strong antenna though.

As a cord cutter, the is one of the smartest purchases I have ever made. You get all locals.

Easy to set up. We have been using it for 2 weeks, no issues with recording or replaying shows. We have dumped our cable.

The set up and app were fine and doable. I didn’t realize it would DVR streaming services and that’s were it lost me. I’m Trying so hard to cut the chord but I still haven’t found anything ideal. If you only plan on DVRing channels you get from your antenna then this is for you!

Great investment for cord cutters...as an older non teckie I was able to hook up by myself

The Tablo Dual worked well, very simple setup and easy to use after setup.

Works as described. Able to record TV and get a guide. Need to subscribe for two week guide and auto record.

Easy to use and set up. Works best with Roku and Roku4.
