28-75mm is one of the most often use lens for all general purpose use. With the aperture at 2.8f, it’s a incredible lens that is almost as good as the 24-70 G-Master lens that cost almost 3 times the price.

Fantastic lens. The 2.8 aperture makes pics nice and bright, and provides that nice bokeh, and it somewhat has macro ability, but I do not think it is as good as advertised (i maybe misread "2.9x magnification" as 1:2.9 magnification, but the 2.9x also does not seem to be the focal zoom, as that is 2.68) but either way it still takes beautiful pictures. This lens is also less than half the price as the sony brand 24-70 f/2.8 making it a great deal If i had to nitpick, its doesnt have any extra bells or whistles like a focus lock or af/mf toggle, its just a bare lens. It also doesnt have stabilization, so keep that in mind if you are trying to put it on a cropped sensor other than the a6500.

I just got this lens and paired it with my A7iii. It’s affordable, produces excellent images and is super portable. You cant get a better f/2.8, weather sealed, full frame lens for the price.

I have taken very sharp photos with this lens. Its very light and more compact compared to the Sony 24-70mm lens and also much cheaper but is definitely a rival in terms of performance. Even though it doesn't have lens stabilization I didn't feel it when shooting because of the IBIS on most sony bodies. Zoom and focus ring are smooth and simple. I guess that's why stocks are always running out. It truly is an award winning lens.

Perfect option for covering most of the focal lengths that I would need in doors. While it does not have image stabilization, the cameras that it is usually used with do so I've not encountered issues there. Love this for whenever I need to do photo/video around the house or when visiting friends and family! Sharpness, contrast, weight and auto-focus speed are all fantastic, there's no reason (besides being wider at the low end) to purchase the Sony branded equivalent over this one.

Price is just right. Quality is fantastic. Sharp and only slightly soft in the corners. Focuses like a first party lens from Sony which is good. Build quality is great. I prefer this over the Sony all metal body like the 55mm Zeiss which you can scratch just by looking at it the wrong way. The material used on this lens is more resistant to scratches. The only con for most I think is the reversed placement of the focus ring.

This is a great lens for sony e-mount. I bought it for my Sony A7III and use it for both photo and video -- I love it! The quality of the lens build is sturdy, sleek, and relatively lightweight for a smaller zoom lens. The autofocus is excellent. Image quality is ridiculously sharp with great color rendition and good bokeh. I highly recommend!

I wasn't sure about making this purchase when I bought my Sony Alpha camera. But upon using this lens, I was more than impressed! You cannot go wrong with the price! Most lens in this category will run you a grand to two! The quality of the pictures are superb! I'm very happy with this purchase. Very great sharpness!

I own Sony camera's and while I own a few Sony lenses. They don't come cheap! Tamron is good quality lens, that won't hit your wallet nearly as much. I prefer prime lenses, but this Lens is super versatile! Been using a lot more for my portrait work.

This is a great lens for your Sony E-Mount Full Frame camera. I wanted a constant aperture mid-range zoom to complement my Sony primes - the Tamron fitted the bill exactly and goes well with the 17-28 that I also already own. It also has the same 67mm filter thread as all my other lenses. Perfect!

When I first got my A73, I was only planning on getting one lens to use as a carry around / travel camera. It's much smaller and more compact than my former Canon 5D3 If you are using a Sony E mount camera and want just one lens this should definitely be on your short list. Pluses: It's light, has great bokeh and while not cheap, is much cheaper than anything from Sony's G or GM line. Minuses: Not really minuses but minor nits since there's not much else to pick on. The lightness comes from a plastic fantastic build quality. If you hold this lens and another lens from Sony or Sigma (or even some of Tamron's other lenses) you'll feel the difference. This lens is still light years ahead of Tamron's older lenses. Also if you are used to other branded lenses, the switched focus / zoom rings may require you to retrain your muscle memory otherwise you'll always be grabbing the wrong ring. Overall still a great lens and arguably the best bang for the buck on E mount at the present time, along with it's sibling 17-28 2.8 and you'll only really be missing a longer zoom (70ish to 200) to complete the common 3 lens combo.

This lens checks all the boxes. Good sharpness for a zoom lens, and good color even wide open. The weight is a good balance for a Sony alpha mirrorless body compared to some of the other lenses in this focal range. I would highly recommend this lens. I own 2 for my photo studio and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another.

First lens for my A7RIII. I love the f2.8 aperture. I am able to achieve some nice bones effects with the wide open aperture. I dont have experience to the comparative sigma or Sony lenses, but this was the most 'budget friendly.' Looking forward to what this lens can produce!

Sharp lens with amazing auto focus speed on a budget, build quality might lack a little when compared to sigma or GM but trust me it’s worth it. Light weight and smaller in size than the competitors. It is a very nice pairing with a A7r iii or A7r iv

This was one of those lenses that was suggested to me for my Sony mirrorless setup, and I was blown away. This lens offers insanely cinematic quality for a decently affordable price. So glad I bought this.

Such an amazing lens for the Sony Cameras and great price too. Nice clean and crisp images and very sleek design for the entire lens. Went between this and the 24-70 Zeiss and by far made the best choice! Slightly heavy lens but overall best one is my current collection on the A7II
