Great, so far! Len performs as described. I have used it for one major event and the photos came out excellent on my Sony A7. The client was ver pleased with the results and so was I. I love the way the len feels and looks on my camera. You will not be disappointed.

This lens is one of the best in terms of Sharpness. This is most compact F2.8 lens in such a small package. It also have excellent Macro capabilities. And above all its firmware can be updated via in camera USB cable.
if you pan to buy just 1 lens to start with this is an excellent choice, way better than the Sony 28-70 FE 3.5/5.8!

Using it with A7C. Had it for one week. Appears to be compatible. Been out on clear mornings and misty mornings. Been in a forest on a cloudy afternoon. Used a tripod. Pleased with images and videos. Have not done detail study of pixels at 28, 35, 55 nor 75. Have not tried the combination of lens and camera on a gimbal.

Perfect Pair for A7III

I bought this to go with the A7III body. The price is great considering what Sony wants for their similar lens. The 28mm is an odd focal length but the cost savings on this lens makes purchasing the 17-28mm justifiable. The lens is well built, light, fast for focusing and the image quality is great. I would recommend this lens as a great paring for any of Sony's e-mounts.

This has been a great utility lens. We have used it on several vacations and it has never failed to produce excellent photos. Could I get better photos with a prime lens? Sure I could but then I would need to carry all of them. If you are looking for a great lens to take on vacations and general use then I can easily recommend this lens!

I have used this lens in low light shooting models and in bright light shooting on the beach. This lens excels in both areas, it is a clear crisp image that does not disappoint. One of my more recommended choices. For the money this lens is an awesome value, it might not be the G-master, but at less than half the weight and very similar picture quality this lens excels.

Bought this for my son’s new a7Riii and had high hopes for it. The reviews are good and it seemed to be pretty sharp on the camera screen. Didn’t open up any images in Lightroom, which is too bad—we would have noticed that ALL the images were taken at f22. Yikes. It wasn’t a camera or user error, as he (minoring in Photo) probably shoots 75% in Manual and RAW. Checked all his APSC e-mount lenses (from his Sony a6300) and they were fine. So all that to say, check yours carefully when you get one. Most reviews give this 5 stars, but I’m giving it 4 because of the QC issue. Hopefully the next o e will be good...once we can find one somewhere. No surprise: everyone is backordered again

I purchased this for my Alpha A7ii and it works great. The 2.8 allows for a lot of flexibility while shooting in lower light or when you need a faster shutter speed. The only strange thing so far is the zoom ring is closer to the front of the lens than the focusing ring...kinda backwards. Once you get accustom to that, no issues.

Fantastic! Image quality is too notch. I have bought this lens 3 times. That should tell you something. Each lens has compromises, and I think tamron did a great job or what to incorporate and what to cut in this design. If I could have just 1 lens, this would be it on an a7iii.

Better than the similar Sony model that is around the same price. While not as sharp as the GMaster, it is significantly less expensive and you can't beat it for the price. 6 year warranty is very helpful. Tamron is making a name for themselves with Sony lenses lately, this is a great lens.

I own both the Tampon 28-75mm and the Sony 24-70mm 2.8 G-Master. Both lenses are great. I would say that the Tamron performs so amazing for the price. I honestly think that if budget is a consideration, you can't go wrong with the Tamron. This is great bang for your buck!
