The image qualty of this lens is fantastic. I ended up exchanging it for the 17-28 because that focal length works better for my video purposes, but if you're looking for a third party zoom that takes great stills this is a great option.

I bought this to replace my 50mm 1.8 when I was going for a Disneyworld trip. I figured the extra zoom would be useful. I opted for this over the G Master due to price and size. I’d highly recommend this as it works excellent with my Sony A7!

This is my only lens I use and I love it! I own it for over 2 years and took probably about 10-15k pictures. No problem with the sharpness.

I really like this lens. I debated getting this and the Sigma 24-70 lens. I ended up opting for this one and saved a few hundred dollars. I have only used it a few times so far, but I have no complaints. The AF is quick and then lens is light. Some people think it feels cheap/plasticky, but I don’t mind it. I mostly shoot portraits so I don’t really miss the 4mm on the wide end. However, if you shoot a lot of events or weddings, I have heard you may end up missing those 4mm.

Keeping in mind, this review is coming from an exclusively prime shooter. I will say this is a very good lens for the price, vignetting and chromatic aberration are an issue but not terrible, detail is very nice and the bokeh is much better then expected. All together I'm very happy with the results. Side note I have not had any issues with the AF as of yet, after now 2k+ photos at Comicon.

Best overall zoom lens for the Sony E mount. Price was expensive (for myself) but based on the market for a 2.8 zoom lens it is considered well priced. Very happy overall with my purchase.

This is a good option if you want to have only one lens. It is lighter than the equivalent Sony lens, less expensive and is very sharp.
