It is a bit heavy. After 3 hours of shooting hand-held, I can definitely feel it. But the images are worth it. The moon shot is on a tripod. The lion is handheld. Both at 600mm

I love using this lens with my Canon EOS 90D. It is really good for birding photography and shooting for the moon.

This lens gives you the kind of pull that only telephoto glass costing much more money provide. The quality of images is great and can provide good shots even when hand held. Tamron service proved fast and satisfying service when i needed a receint repair. I dropped my lens during a fall and the resulting repair was very fast! All and all good lens great value!

I really like this Tamron lens. It works great but is definately heavy. I do have to use a tripod or monopod when using this lens.

This is a great lens. For the cost, it's a no-brainer. Sometimes I need to get a lot of distance in my shots and this solves the problem. Plus I got it on a price match so you can't beat that.

Sharp Lens good build quality fast focus 300mm-500mm

This is excellent. A little heavy but I can put it in a messenger bag. Works great for those far away shots across the river. Makes them look so crisp and close. Better zoom than my binoculars.

This lens is now the jewel of my photography gear. Don't expect great results if you don't use a tripod with it, but such great photos of all kinds will be the result of using this lens

I love my new lens the only drawback is you really need to use a tripod because of the weight. I like to hand carry my camera so the extra weight can be hard to handle but I bought a harness and that helps. Overall the quality is good.

This is a fantastic lens; easy to use, excellent quality, and perfect fit for my Canon SLR. The results on my outdoor photos are amazing, couldn't be happier with this product.

Purchased the tamron lens for use with my Canon t5i because I do a lot of nature shots, primarily birds and animals. It performs flawlessly! It's a great addition to my lens collection and the price was good.

I have had a lot of good experience of using Sigma lenses, as I have Sigma 150-500 zoom lens I got in early 2016. Tamron had better reviews and was $869, compared to $989 for Sigma, so I decided to try Tamron. I am not disappointed. I got Tamron tap-in USB controller, so I can update firmware on the lens and change settings.

Adding this lens to my collection, has truly launched my company into the arena with all the big dogs of photography. Its so easy to use, and silent as it operates. This was one of my best purchases Ever!!!

I found this lens produces very crisp and clear images. It allowed me to better take advantage of my found wildlife opportunities without extreme cropping of my exposures. The price was right, the wait for shipping was short and my ordering and customer experience was smooth. I did not hesitate and was very comfortable with this purchase.

When I looked thru the camera at the store with this lens, I focused on the wall across the room about 50 ft away. I could actually read the directions to a coffee pot. It was the best purchase I have made in a very long time. Highly recommend this lens.
