Holds my laptop very nicely at different angles. Does not cool my laptop very well, not like my old Targus did. The noise from the fans is very annoying in a quiet environment like my home. I exchanged for another one at Best Buy but the second one also had noisy fans. If you had your stereo cranked up or were in a busy office or a Starbucks, the fan humming probably would not be heard. The fans in my old Targus were quiet. I guess the company just got cheap. They also took away the high and low speed that the old Targus had, and also no on/off switch anymore. If you put your laptop in sleep mode, the fans keep running unless you unplug the usb cable. Read the reviews on Google search for this product and you will see what I am talking about.

Finally I found a laptop fan and stand that I really like and works so well for my brand new computer. I am thinking about getting another one for my wife's computer. Great Stand and Fan set up.

The only issue I have is that the cooling fans start to make a grinding noise on startup after about 2-4 months of use. It goes away after several minutes but it's rather annoying.

Just got one of these and it's a perfect example of why you'd want to try something out before buying -- that fan noise that cycles about twice a second is extremely irritating. Will be looking for a replacement asap. There used to be better options -- we have quiet metal ones at our other workstations.

What I immediately noticed about the stand was that it felt and looked cheap. The stand was easy to lift without anything on it, but was slightly harder with my laptop on it. Going down, however, was frustrating. The latching mechanism was fussy at times, and with the laptop on the stand would fall on my hands when I tried to adjust the stand. The fans were even worse, barely creating a breeze. The whole product was just very poorly made.

This works well, but doesn't come with the power cord or USB cable. I can't find the power cord for sale at BestBuy either. USB ports don't have enough power to run wireless card.

Seemed fine for the first month, but it quickly broke. The adjustable height is fine, but I don't really uses it. It is suitable for table top use but not comfortable in a lap. Buy a simpler, but better quality product.

I love the tilt function it makes typing so much more comfortable

this is just easy set up docking that i use everyday.

We took this back. The fan started making noises; the surface where the laptop sits is slick and did not hold the laptop in place; everytime you picked it up, the feature that allows you to adjust the angle would open and it was a pain to get it back level. All in all, just not a good design for our use.

I purchased this laptop cooling pad a year ago because of the USB ports. The fan started making a loud whining sound within the first month. I returned it and got another one (same model) and within a month, it was doing it too. Now I'm just using it as a riser.

Height lock in adjust is unstable, laptop slips off of front stop. Too small for a "16.5 by "11.5 entertainment HP 17 inch Laptop. Look elsewhere for a better fit. Two cooling fan is best though.

My son talked me into buying most expensive one so we would not have problem, i have had 2 this was 3rd others were less than $15 this over 5o others lasted a year this one less than 30 days

1st one noisy hum on install. In about 2 weeks loud grinding noise on start, apparently unbalanced blades, had to unplug and replug until would start with usual hum. Finally, noisy operation and 5 to 6 times unplug/replug was too much. 2nd one great! For about 2 weeks. 2 usb ports failed. Them started noisy hum. Then grinding noise on start , same as above. 3rd replace. Out of the box, very loud distracting irritating hummmmm. Will return tomorrow for refund. Very frustrating

Might be good for lower end laptops but does not cool high end laptops well at all. CPU temp would not go lower than 90 when playing games. Look for something better

The actual unit is made well and would be great if they included a power supply with it. The USB hub DOES NOT WORK without the power supply, and none are available online anywhere even Targus's website. Unless this glaring ommision is fixed I cannot in good faith reccoment this unit to anyone.

i like the different positions but is not comfortable for lap use.

It’s cheap and not worth the price even at the close out purchase price! Fan doesn’t work!

This product is made as cheaply as possible, very flimsy and even though it states that it will hold a 17" Laptop, it will not. I will take it back and try another product. Very disappointing. I should have listened to the review prior to mine!
