This is my second laptop chill mat and it is far superior to the previous one I owned. It operates almost silently and is far more efficient than the one I used before. It was moderately priced as well which is why I gave it five stars.

Does exactly what its supposed to do. Keeps my laptop cool during long gaming sessions and video watching marathons. Easy ro hook up and runs quietly.

The mat does what it suppose to, keeps my laptop cool when and its pretty quiet. just plug the mat to your laptop via usb and its all set. The device is light so it won't add too much weight to the laptop.

It feels cheap, but it does the job. My laptop had a hard time running games without overheating, and buying this helps a lot. It's pretty lightweight and slim, so it fits well in my backpack (along with my laptop).

Very happy with this - my work laptop is perpetually hot -- I've literally burned a finger on my left hand before getting this. It works silently & well - I have no complains at all. Very happy with it.

Light weight cooling pad doesnt have the strongest fans that are available but it does bring the heat down quite a bit on laptops. Best part about this model is the price is right, and the laptop is well balanced on the pad. Some pads I have used do not give the laptop much balance.

Ok cooling pad for the money. Fans could stand to blow harder. Pretty quiet..i liked this one because of 0 lights. If the fans moved more air itd be better. Ok enough for extending gaming sessions.

The Targus Dual Fan Chill Mat works great with my Asus 15.6 laptop. It's quiet and powerful. It keeps my laptop cool, and prevents it from overheating during hours of use. Lightweight and easy to use. Just plug it in to an available USB port, and you're good to go!

I bought this for my Surface Book 2 (13.5" w/ core i7 processor) as it had some heating issues when remotely logging into my work desktop from home; it got so bad my computer would shutdown and not turn on until it cooled. Desperate for a solution, I came across this at my local Best Buy and it has done everything I need it to as I haven't had a single issue since buying it. However, I think it needs to have a bit more height in the back (making it angle down towards you) as my surface book is too heavy and keeps tipping back/off of it when using it away from my monitors; if it was slightly angled it wouldn't be an issue. In truth, I would give this a 4.5 if I could as the issue is minor relative to the price and the original problem that lead to my purchase.

My "gaming" laptop is approaching 3 years old. It has a i7 and RTX 2060 and is THIN so there is not much room for heat mitigation. So the laptop naturally runs hot. As computers get older, they tend to run hotter, so this laptop started having thermal issues. The top of the laptop will be extremely warm, and if you touch the exposed radiating "fins" in the air ducts it will be instantly almost to hot to touch. I can not leave the laptop on a flat table without overheating, For example, I'd be using it in my recliner, and I have a chair table I use where I have the fans overhanging to allow plenty of airflow, and it will work fine. But if I get up to use the bathroom or take the dog out, once I get back, the laptop will have to be shut down and allowed to be cooled to be used. And when I play my favorite game, sometimes the framerate will really suffer. So I decided to get this. So far I have used it for a few nights. I played my game for at least an hour for a couple nights. It has made a HUGE difference! Just out of curiosity, I touched the one of the radiating "fins" and it took a several seconds before it became uncomfortably warm. Top of my laptop is much cooler. I didn't have frame rate issues. I didn't have to reboot/shut down my laptop after sitting it down for a short break. Only Negative thing about it is the USB cord is it connects to the cooler with a Mini-A Connector... the most fragile usb connector known to man. The fit is nice in snug so maybe that won't be an issue.

Easy to set up, quiet, sensible. Think that it will help with the damage from overheating.

Son’s laptop fan broke and this fit perfect. Hazzard of having the other portable fan breakdown when it’s stepped on from leaving it on the floor. Thankfully it wasn’t connected to the computer. This is my second Targus cooling mat for laptops; the old one is still going strong under my 15 inch laptop; this new one is under my five month old SSD 13 inch Dell to make it more comfortable to use on my lap. My new laptop has overheated a couple of times when I have left it charging on my couch - and I do not want that to happen again. Just like my old Targus, this new one has two silent, but pretty powerful fans that keep my laptop cool; a cooler computer is a better and happier one. :-) The USB cord that connects to my laptop (for power to the fans) stores away in a clip on either side right under the top, between the top and bottom. The bottom which sits on my legs, is soft cloth of some kind and makes it comfortable without getting warm. (Forecast calls for 100 and 107 degrees in a few days, so not getting warm is important if I want to sit in the cooler shade on my patio.) The cooling pad is light weight, and the laptop sits safely on the top without moving around when I move both the laptop and the cooling pad.

Works wonderful and the price was affordable! This fan pad did not disappoint. It is lightweight and not too bulky. It was ÷asy to set up to my laptop. Definitely would recommend it.

Purchased this because my older laptop was overheating while watching streaming video. Lots of pauses and skipping. Hooked this up and not only does it stream anything perfectly, even under rather taxing use, the laptop remains cool to the touch. Lightweight and thin, it easily packs into my laptop bag with little to no extra bulk. Very well worth the low price paid.

It does the job fine, my computer no longer feels like it's going to catch fire when I'm running a program I probably shouldn't be running on a laptop. It smells strongly like plastic (im well aware) and its decently quiet. It's super lightweight and easy to use

My work laptop was constantly having issues with overheating, and it was causing so many systemic issues with my laptop and was driving me crazy. After using this cooling pad for the first time, it has never overheated again. I am so happy I found this item! It's quiet enough where I don't even hear it, and it stays on all day long. I have one for my work laptop, and one for my personal laptop.

This is a decent enough cooling pad that will help airflow decently and actual cooling of your laptop minimally. The cooling aspects are derived through two decently sized fans that help circulate slightly cooler air onto and into the bottom of your laptop. Your internal laptop cooling fans are still doing 99% of the work cooling the system and as such you might see a 1-2° temperature change. This unit is nice because it allows a decent gap between your laptop and the fans, which will stop any issues with these fans interfering with the functionality of your internal cooling system. The construction is nothing special. Plastic. Black. Lightweight. Overall it's esthetics will not make it stand out as a high quality investment and the power plug being a thin USB to barrel plug wire will not exude confidence. The truth here is that the unit does not require any substantial power though and the fact that it is so basically assembled will make replacing the fans much easier when the stock ones decide to die out. Overall the unit is an OK purchase that won't let you down as long as you understand what you are getting and what it will really be doing for you. It isn't an extremely loud cooling pad either but you will hear it, mainly because it is two larger fans seated in a plastic shell without any rubber dampening.

Well, I only had two expectations-- that the mat keep the laptop cool and that it would be portable. To the latter point, the mat is both small and light weight. It is easy to pack and leaves plenty of extra space in my travel case. The fans are quiet... but they really are not needed by my laptop because the venting alone keeps my system perfectly cool

Pretty nice, for if one of your fan arent working or if it overheating already then this is a good option but if you have a laptop that both of their cooling pads arent working then i wouldnt recommended it.
